PhD in cancer. Currently a Senior Trial Manager at The Institute of Cancer Research, managing prostate cancer clinical trials. Posts I make are my opinion
It's a huge honour & privilege to be appointed as one of the Trustees for Cancer Black Care @CancerBlackCare. CBC is a charity supporting people diagnosed with any cancer and support them throughout their cancer journey. I'm looking forward to our work together.
We enjoy supporting this event #MarchForMen each year. Attendees often want to know of any studies/trials that could be applicable for them. Thanks to all the organisers @ProstateUK for yet another great event 👏

Assessment of a Polygenic Risk Score in Screening for Prostate Cancer (BARCODE1) out on NEJM
https://t.co/LbD2HkiyZG
Study evaluated a targeted #ProstateCancer screening approach using polygenic risk scores derived from 130 known genetic variants, identifying men aged 55–69 in the top 10% of genetic risk; among those screened with MRI and biopsy, 40% were diagnosed with prostate cancer, over half of which were intermediate or higher risk—most of which would have been missed by standard PSA-based screening—demonstrating that polygenic risk–stratified screening may more effectively detect clinically significant disease.

Thank you to @WCS_school for inviting me to speak to your STEM students and share my education and career pathway. I hope that I managed to inspire the new generation of scientists/researchers, etc. We had a very engaging Q&A session afterwards as well. A very exciting morning.
In Westminster today to launch @ProstateUK programme for government about how we can make diagnosis of prostate cancer faster, fairer and better. Amazing to be joined by many allies - both clinical & community. Fantastic engagement from MPs keen to drive change. 🤞they deliver…
@rylance_amy@ProstateUK We hope that government will do something to ensure that every man can get a PSA test as this can lead to early diagnosis. It was great to be there today to support this programme
So happy being at Houses of Parliament today in support of @ProstateUK as they launched their programme for government: Faster. Fairer. Better. Prostate Cancer checks. NHS guidelines need updating to ensure that every man can get a PSA test. This can lead to early diagnosis.
Looking forward to TRANSLATE: Meet the researchers - a joint event with @royalmarsdenNHS@ProstateUK@ICR_London a chance for members of the public to meet the researchers to know about our work and how to make research more accessible and relevant.
