IOM Director Policy and Research, global migration governance and cooperation, facilitated migration and human mobility as a force for development

[IOM Data @UNMigrationData]

“International migration is at a crossroads. It benefits both migrants and societies—when managed well. With labour shortages at an all-time high and 30M open jobs across major economies, many countries need migration.”
– Eva Åkerman Börje, IOM, at #IFMS2025

[Camilla Brückner @camillabruckner]

While significant progress has been made, no country has achieved equality btw women and men.

Our partnership w/ #EU is investing in women and girls, a powerful driver of sustainable development and peace.

This #IWD2025 and every day, we must push forward #ForAllWomenAndGirls.

"We cannot continue to take water for granted"

Concerted and timely adaptation to water extremes is crucial for preventing adverse impacts on human mobility in current and projected future at-risk areas.

@segerfeldt Ja! Unik period av relativt harmonisk samexistens mellan de stora religionerna. Spännande - vi kanske kan lära oss något?

In the diplomatic training I once received, this is what one might call “an unfortunate development”.
