We've been following @TOKYOBEAST_EN for quite some time.
Small supply, free mint, and a huge web2 base— but what exactly do we know about them?

TOKYO BEAST is a crypto entertainment project that aims to deliver a variety of content, with gaming as the initial focus. It also integrates a betting system that serves as its core foundation.

The first phase, titled INCUBATION, will concentrate on building the ecosystem and the four modular projects within it, implementing them on Polygon. More details on this as we go along.

Team/Company

TOKYO BEAST FZCO is a Dubai-based game publisher studio led by a team with decades of experience in consumer entertainment, having already managed multiple famous Japanese games.

This company is a subsidiary of Zeal Nova, which is associated with a Japanese game called Eternal Crypt. According to various media articles, they are also well-funded.

The Ecosystem

As of this writing, there are four assets that lie within Tokyo Beast's ecosystem, according to their Medium article: $TBZ, Beast NFTs, Lucky Ticket, and PFP (no info about this yet).

BASE, FARM, TRIALS, BETTING: 4 core features

> BASE Their token $TBZ unlocks investment opportunities & economic experiences. By staking $TBZ or purchasing Lucky Tickets, you have a chance of winning a Beast NFT through their weekly raffles.

> FARM
Farm doesn't necessarily mean it's a simple staking. In Tokyo Beast, in-game assets called Proxy Beasts are derived from the original Beast NFT.

Multiple copies of these will be made available for the players to use and depending on the players' performance with the proxy, they will be rewarded with Proof of Honor (leaderboard points?). Higher points -> higher leaderboard placement -> higher rewards

Additionally, holders will be able to stake their beast to create your own, inheriting the abilities and appearance of the parent.

> TRIALS
This is the game itself where the Proxy Beasts comes into play. Players can use them in the strategic auto-command battle game called XENO-Karate, with a maximum of 4 beasts per party.

The arena is open on the weekdays and the top 20 players will be able to compete on the Weekend Championship for better rewards and of course, to get the spotlight and prove their selves on the main stage in front of the audiences.

> BETTING
In the game, everyone can root and bet on anyone on the top 20 players that are competing on the Weekend Championship and other special tournaments down the line.

Since XENO-Karate is an auto battle game, the audience will be provided with information such as Party Composition, Past Results, Beast's Pedigree (stats/abilities of beasts?), and the odds with their match up.

More on the PROXY Beast NFT Model

• A unique system that has the potential to onboard a large number of users without the need of wallets.

• Rarity of Beast NFTs will not be affected even with multiple copies (proxy beasts), but rather gives the original Beast itself an increase in value.

• Beast NFT holders are rewarded based on the success of their Proxy Beasts.

Tokyo Beast has 4 tiers on their boxes, with each giving the holder a chance to win different rewards.

Personal Thoughts

A unique NFT model with an integrated betting system has quite the appeal on me. Games are more fun when there are stakes on the line: the pressure, glory, and satisfaction you get makes it all worth it.

I'm personally keeping an eye on this one and will see where it goes
