In case you missed it, Link Wentworth featured on @9NewsSyd over the long weekend regarding the importance of affordable housing and our partnership with @HeadStart_Homes which enables people in social and affordable housing to find a path to home ownership. 🏠 @andrew_mcanulty

@LinkWentworth Such a powerful address from Mary a @LinkWentworth tenant sharing her story about her journey to social housing and the importance of having a safe home to rebuild your life. A stark reminder about the need for governments to invest in social housing NOW.
“Crowded housing is at its worst in Sydney’s west and south-west – the parts of the city hit hardest by COVID-19 – and advocates say the pandemic demonstrates the region’s dire need for more affordable housing.” @HomelessnessNSW https://t.co/tmLB2NJiVk

Donald—I appreciate the free publicity for Borat! I admit, I don’t find you funny either. But yet the whole world laughs at you.
I’m always looking for people to play racist buffoons, and you’ll need a job after Jan. 20. Let’s talk!

The Federal Gov’t has increased the amount of money that community housing organisations can borrow at low interest rates, which is positive. This was expected. But they haven’t given any grants for construction or renewal of social housing, which is what economics called for!
An important message from my colleague Michele from the Housing Trust about ensuring the long term financial sustainability of the community housing sector whilst we ensure are tenants remain housed and supported through #COVID19 crisis. @Wentworth_CH
The purpose of life is to be happy. This is what all human beings have in common—the wish to lead a happy life. Many think that happiness is to be found outside us in material things, but actually it’s something that comes from within, from warm-heartedness and concern for others
One way to address these inevitable troughs in housing supply that follow price falls is for governments to have a long term funded affordable housing program. Good for jobs, productivity & addresses homelessness @NationalShelter @CHIA_News @PowerHousingOz https://t.co/Yc5jdPzDJh
