#tbt to trying to get a perfect group pic of hundreds of workers marching w/ @UNITEHERE30 ✊
Congrats to the brave hotel workers who won 40% pay increases, 1st time pensions, & stronger protections against sexual assault after striking for 30+ days! https://t.co/OmRKgzo19t #1job
Our hearts are with our AWPPW family in Longview impacted by this tragedy, and our firefighter, EMS, and healthcare siblings who are actively responding to this unfolding situation.
Working people don’t care whether you have a D or an R next to your name. We need real leadership to protect us from Big Tech. It’s time for politicians to stand with working people to take on the biggest challenge of our time, and not stand with billionaires and tech bosses.
Today, thousands of union members gathered to rally and march peacefully to call for an end to the ICE escalation in our cities and states, unfortunately federal agents decided to respond with violence by releasing tear gas on union members, families, children, and pets in the middle of the day during a peaceful march.
“This is an attack on working people, and an attack on Oregon’s labor movement,” Oregon AFL-CIO President Graham Trainor said. “Deploying tear gas when union members, families, children, and pets came together to protest peacefully against ICE’s terrorization of immigrants and our communities in Oregon and across the country is an unacceptable escalation from federal agents. This is not okay.”

We are deeply disturbed that @Rep_Grijalva was met with unjust, excessive force simply for seeking information. If a congressmember is treated this way, how can immigrant workers and marginalized communities expect fair treatment? Trump's terrorizing of communities must end NOW.
Congrats to Leonard Aguilar and Lorraine Montemayor on their election to lead @TexasAFLCIO! We look forward to working together to continue building a labor movement as big as Texas!
Thank you President Levy for your service to our labor movement and congrats on your retirement.
Texas labor leaders stand in solidarity with WNBPA members and their fight for a fair contract!
“It means a lot because we’re trying to reach as many voices as we can,” said Dallas Wings star Paige Burckers after the game. (via Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

📣 PRESS CONFERENCE at Culinary Union HQ! It’s past time politicians in DC prioritize working people over CEOs and billionaires.
On the @AFLCIO It’s Better In a Union—Freedom, Fairness and Security bus tour, are rallying w/Culinary Union members about what WE need to get ahead.
As Texans recover from the recent floods, we have compiled a list of resources for affected counties, available to both union members and the general public.

Let's be absolutely clear: physically assaulting a US Senator for simply asking a question is disgraceful. We stand with Senator Padilla and all those peacefully defending working people against this administration's attacks.
All workers deserve a fair shot at joining a union.
Gov. Polis, our entire labor movement is watching: Honor your commitment to workers by modernizing CO’s outdated labor laws.
The Supreme Court ruled that the Trump admin must facilitate the return of @smartunionworks Local 100 apprentice Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
They need to quit wasting time and bring our union brother home NOW!
"Our wait time today was 4.5 hours," said Joel Smith, a @SocialSecurity worker & @AFGENational Local 3184 president during our #WorkersOverBillionaires Town Hall.
Our movement stands in solidarity with all federal employees. Keep telling your stories. Keep fighting! ✊

Colorado’s labor law weakens unions and allows wealthy corporations to exploit workers by cutting corners on workplace safety and wages.
It’s time to modernize the law to provide all workers with the freedom to organize a union.

With a packed committee room full of support, and testimonies from many workers from a variety of sectors, the Worker Protection Act passed the Senate Business, Labor, & Technology Committee today! One step forward in the fight for the Worker Protection Act in Colorado!
2M SEIU Members 🤝 13M AFL-CIO Members
SEIU just joined America’s biggest federation of labor unions, the @AFLCIO. Together, we’re taking on corporate union busters and changing the rules so every worker who wants a union can have one. Let’s do this!
We’re thrilled to share breaking news:
The AFL-CIO and @SEIU are reuniting with a new, long-term effort to make it easier for workers to win a voice on our jobs with our unions.
There’s power in unity!

Presidential administrations change, but the labor movement’s values do not. No one—not Donald Trump or JD Vance, nor any one CEO—can stop solidarity.
