I hope that the foster care system and children’s homes are equipt for the approx. 200,000 to 300,000 increase in unwanted children being entered into the system in the next year and every year after that.
oh wait, they’re most definitely not.
nah imagine being the type of person that thought the government was trying to controls us wit masks & vaccines... and also celebrating abortion being made illegal. we really live amongst people like this and they validate each other like they make perfect sense.
im so heartbroken for the millions of people who will be forced to give birth and are unable to just drive to another state to get an abortion. could be me one day, you, or anyone.
Pre-Roe, I was 8 yrs old. I came home from school to find my Mom lying in a puddle of blood. She was weak & asked me to call a neighbor. She was miscarrying, but the embryo would not abort. For 48 hours, she bled while doctors transfused blood, waiting. Abortions were illegal.
People who bitched about wearing a mask for a few hours on a plane during a pandemic insisting that surviving nine months of an unwanted pregnancy is no biggie.
I was a Pro-Choice Escort outside of clinics when I was in high school and I've done it here and there since. Not enough, if I'm honest. It's basically making sure women get in and out safely and harassed as little as possible. Here's something I'll share... (con't)
it is not “pro-life,” it is pro-forced birth and ANTI-WOMEN. we have clearly made ZERO progress as a country. completely sickening, discouraging, and heart wrenching but especially for the thousands of underprivileged women who can’t just “go to a state that offers them.”
Let's be clear, wealthy women will always have access to whatever doctors, medicines and procedures that they want. Ending Roe is an attack on the autonomy of poor and working class women.
This is Anastasiia Yalanskaya 🇺🇦
She was killed yesterday, just outside Kyiv, delivering supplies to a dog shelter that was without food for 3 days
The car she was in was targeted at close range
Yalanskaya stayed behind in Kyiv to volunteer as everyone fled around her
