Soil acidity update & deep lime incorporation demo.
Get the latest information on acid soil management, and see the Horsch Tiger in action.
Join NSW DPI's @MathewDunn19 @DrJasonCondon
and Helen Burns at the GRDC Farming Systems site for a demonstration and update on acid soil management.

Join @DrJasonCondon, Helen Burns, Mark Richards & Neroli Graham to see lime response in crop sequence and check out the performance of the pulse variety trials.

Tallimba site field day on this Thursday. 3pm start and finish with bbq/drinks. Looking at manure trials with Terry Rose and @NSWDPI_Soils, a vetch legacy trial and Agrisilica trial. Trial entrance near corner of Dunlops and Russels Lane. See you there! @Farm_Link
We’re running some @Farm_Link field walks this year. Lockhart: 31st Aug, Junee: 1st Sept, Tallimba: 14th Sept. 3pm start and finish with a BBQ. Please come along as I’m keen to get some thoughts and input from local growers. Register/more info here: https://t.co/6N9zAlOrJO
We have some top notch speakers this year. Mark Peoples, N-fix guru will answer all the big legume questions, @s_simpfendorfer will guide late season disease management and rotation planning, Jay Carroll from Civil Ag Design will talk through steps in developing a drainage plan
@agrobaz@KateKak@soilpED@cropscan@AgCactus@brodenholland Absolutely- maximising ROI of N spend is the aim, which an even (good) protein layer (NOT yield) demonstrates. How you get there is still challenging, particularly on variable soils. But learning from previous protein is a big help, esp v recent which offer insights to residual N
@agrobaz@brodenholland@soilpED@cropscan@AgCactus@Farm_Link@GRDCNorth Yep agree more work to be done Baz. This project was done after dry season+summer, whereas in wetter summers we have seen variable minz impacting patterns esp on variable soil types. But fantastic info as a basis for zones (+yield potential/soil info), groundtruthed with deep N's
Brill Ag will host an agronomy field day on Tuesday 19 September this year. Larger range of work including pulse agronomy, canola establishment and cereal disease management. Expert guest speakers will be attending. More details to be made available closer to the date
@GRoh_Ag@cropscan Ours wouldn't recognise a SanDisk USB in the Cropscan software but the tablet itself (Windows) could see it. If you go to File Explorer you can navigate to the folder and just copy/paste it onto the USB.
We’ve been busy soil sampling and collecting results for our first year of running @theGRDC funded N banking trials with 4 sites across southern NSW. Come and hear James Hunt @agronomeiste discuss the results from our trials at the @Farm_Link breakfast meetings
I’m putting together a little clip for our upcoming breakfast meetings this month. Send me your best #bogged photos from season ‘22 if you’re happy for me to use them. DM me or reply to this post
Beckom Spring field day at Mike and Velia OHare’s “Greendale” property at Beckom is on Monday 17th October. Hopefully the rain will be kind to us this week. The trial looks a picture, best make your way there 👍 @NVT_Online @GRDCNorth @NSWDPI_AGRONOMY @LLSRiverina@agtbreeding
Revised Flyer
Our CSIRO/NSWDPI Farming System Project Team invites you to the @CSIRO@theGRDC Greenethorpe Farming System 2022 Spring Field Walk.
It's the 5th year of the trial. Aim to have some great discussion on N, water, legumes, yield, GM & the legacy effects. See U there!
@agrobaz@gsandral@theGRDC@SPAA_Inc@Farm_Link Thanks Baz, yep absolutely so very grateful for such a good roll up today. Very impressed by the level of knowledge in the group already and desire to keep improving 👍
A big three days talking Precision Agriculture with a great bunch of growers and advisors at Warren, Forbes and Griffith. Thanks to everyone for coming along to learn and to share their experiences - one more to go at Junee on Monday 👍 @theGRDC@SPAA_Inc@Farm_Link
