The area is close to the land where the Gugatha people lived, but it seems the Barngala people had a lot to do with it in early times! Oh, and I just happens to encompass the area where mildly radioactive waste is proposed to be stored.... 😳🙄🤪
*Breaking news* A new "dreaming" site has been discovered near Kimba on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. There was no sign of it two years ago, but it was apparently vitally important to those who lived on that ground, in solid mallee scrub with no water source. That's true
@TyFulwood@brodenholland@agrobaz@KateKak@soilpED@cropscan Highly variable soils, alkaline grey calcareous to red chromosols to orange sands. Many limiting factors on yield outside of protein but it has been helping us define where to invest N and where not to more accurately. Like with everything, we don’t use protein in isolation
@agrobaz@soilpED@cropscan@brodenholland I do like the simplicity of the app but I don’t think @cropscanag has hit the right price point for what it current offers. That said, they’ve made lots of progress. 8 years of protein maps and 20 years of yield data, hopefully we can optimise our N better than previously
Sowing depth differences now showing up, as crops struggle in marginal moisture. Shallower sown Wheat here has taken advantage of “lesser” rainfall events to get established. 1/2
@ipaddockapps Can’t rate @LQSystems highly enough. I guess if you like to stuff around with shit, do it yourself, but if you’re like me and just want shit to work first time, every time, do yourself a favour and talk to @LQS_SA
