I stand with the Palestinians.
@Aeroplan why is it so difficult for SQCs to post correctly? My latest issue is with the Double SQC promo for flights between YTZ and the US. I flew 2 eligible 1-way flights, received the correct points and normal SQC, but did not receive the double SQC. It's been 6 wks.
Sky News reports that a 28-year-old Palestinian woman, six months pregnant and suffering severe internal bleeding, was being transported from Qaryout in the occupied West Bank to Rafidia Surgical Hospital in Nablus when Israeli soldiers stopped her ambulance at the Awarta checkpoint.
Video shows Israeli forces detained the ambulance crew for more than 30 minutes, subjected the bleeding, critically ill woman to a physical search, and ordered the driver to turn off the engine, cutting power to the vehicle’s onboard medical equipment.
During the forced delay, a nurse was forced to deliver the fetus stillborn inside the stranded ambulance. The woman was eventually allowed to proceed to the hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery and saved her life. The baby could not be saved.

Juliet Lamont's Gaza Flotilla testimony:
On the 78th anniversary of the Nakba, we remember that dispossession and exile are not mere footnotes of the past but living, ongoing realities.
To speak of justice today is to name the catastrophe of 1948 and to recognise that no future can be built on forgetting. Freedom and equal rights for all, from the river to the sea, is the only vision worthy of the name.
As we mark another Nakba anniversary, the genocide that started then is intensifying. What we witness in Gaza and across the occupied territories is not a war, not clash of equals, nor a tragic but inevitable conflict — it is the violent, relentless logic of white settler terra nullius colonialism, dressed in modern military hardware and sustained by western complicity. A people is being erased, deemed superfluous, their humanity denied so that their erasure may be justified.
To commemorate the Nakba is to stand with the living against the coloniser’s lie that some lives are mere obstacles. It is to insist that remembrance must become resistance, and resistance is not only a prerequisite for liberty but also of existence.
Francesca Albanese's latest report on the systematic, ubiquitous, soul crushing, permanent torture of Palestinians by Israeli authorities, soldiers and settlers is one that we can only turn our eyes away from at the price of losing what is left of our souls. END THE GENOCIDE. NOW!
According to Israel, if your ancestor lived somewhere 3000 years ago, you can ethnically cleanse the people living there now.
If historical presence justifies ethnic cleansing, then Native Americans should be deporting all Europeans back to Britain right now.
We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was: a man who believed that the Civil Rights Act that granted Black Americans the right to vote was a “mistake,” who after the violent attack on Paul Pelosi claimed that “some amazing patriot out there” should bail out his assailant, and accused Jews of controlling “not just the colleges – it’s the nonprofits, it’s the movies, it’s Hollywood, it’s all of it.”
His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans – far from “working tirelessly to promote unity” as asserted by the majority in this resolution.”
We can condemn his horrific assassination and the scourge of political violence without uplifting these ideas.
It goes without saying that we don’t need an Israeli source to confirm what Palestinians have been telling us: the Israeli army used a fake “aid” scheme to slaughter them.
