@QueerFamlove The question homosexuals should be asking isn’t whether Christians have an opinion on homosexuality. The question they should be asking is what if their parents had been homosexual.
@jferg82003@CoreyB08 The thought that Colossians 2:14 suggests that OT worship was nullified by the cross goes beyond the intent of the text because Romans 15:4 specifically supports using the Psalms.
@jferg82003@CoreyB08 Your example of Cain’s offering actually disproves your argument. Cain did not galive the offering in the name of the Lord, therefore it wasn’t a faithful act. Not the other way around.
@jferg82003@CoreyB08 You are reading “spirit and truth” into that verse.
Word or deed simply means “what you say” and “what you do.”
You are importing your “only things you do in faith” into the verse. There is no such restriction found in the text.
@jferg82003@CoreyB08 If you are not doing that, then you are not applying your interpretation of this verse consistently.
You are limiting it to ONLY worship, which is NOT the context of the verse.
@jferg82003@CoreyB08 Try to follow the logic.
If Eph. 5:19 is authorization for what Christians should do in all circumstances, thus prohibiting anything not mentioned, then Christians should ONLY address one another in psalms and hymns and songs and not any normal everyday conversation.
