lover of love ! will not tolerate
any kind of hate on my acc
goin back and watching all of heeseung’s -note ‘s because i love listening to him talk and seeing how his mindset and perspective has evolved as he’s gotten older
i understand wanting to go back and recognize what heeseung went through but i will say be careful not to cross boundaries and overanalyze or link EVERYTHING back to his diagnosis. like i'm recontextualizing his journey but just what hes intentionally shared with us ❤️
i’m just soso proud of him and all of the hardships he’s faced throughout his life.. the ones we’ve seen and the ones he’s kept private. despite it all he is still so strong and so kind. he’s the type of person that deserves to be admired
Evan talks about being diagnosed with cancer when he was younger:
"The treatment process wasn’t easy, but when I saw how my mom took care of me nonstop, I wanted to put on a brave face for her. When the hospital held events like talent shows for the patients, I’d play guitar and even host them.
I dreamed of being a singer ever since I was six, but to be honest, back then I didn’t really have the mental bandwidth to even think about that. I’d watch my friends pass away and kept thinking, “I want to live so badly, I want to go home.”
Thankfully I made it through treatment and got to go on with my life, but fitting back in with my friends wasn’t easy.
I had a lot less energy, and since my hair was still growing back from chemo, I got teased a lot for it. My friends would be like, “What is that, grass? You’re like a monk.” But I just took it because I wanted to fit in. Once I got to middle school, I had some good friends, but I wasn’t as outgoing as before.
I became more of an introvert. I haven’t thought about that in a long time. It hurts to bring it back up."
today i’ve realised that i couldn’t care less about how people perceive hee anymore, he’s been wearing his heart on his sleeve for us. the sincerity that comes with his words and his music is enough to tune out all the hate and negativity for me
To all my fellow Evers that has went thru or lost a loved one to cancer, know that you’re so strong and resilient and I hope the lost ones are resting in peace. And to heeseung I hope he knows there’s quite literally no one stronger and more mature than him
