From my interview with Habib C. Malik, a Lebanese retired associate professor of history and cultural studies at the Lebanese American University,

“Many within the Christian as well as Sunni and Druze communities have become more vocal in their calls for a federal solution for Lebanon. Some have even surpassed federalism and desire open secession from a unitary state in favor of autonomous and homogeneous sectarian enclaves—recall that it was Hezbollah's creation of their own statelet and army ideologically beholden to an alien foreign power, Iran, that provoked the others to embrace the alternative of splitting apart completely. Increasing numbers of Christians and their political parties are entertaining both the federal option and this idea of separation leading to a recognized Christian/Maronite entity. Even Sunnis in Lebanon have had enough of feeling constantly threatened by Hezbollah and its Shiite community; these Sunnis for the first time have been seriously contemplating a divorce from coexistence with the Shiites and are even considering the federal alternative or outright secession. The West can surely be more mindful of the plight of beleaguered native Christians in Lebanon, given that Lebanon's Christians are the only remaining free and indigenous Christian community in the entire Near and Middle East.”

👉Macedonian Greeks took part in the Olympic Games as every Greek could (only Greeks were allowed to take part in the Olympic games back then)

“Turkey” is not in the Bible. What is in the Bible is regions such as Cilicia, Galatia, Cappadocia, Pontus, and Bithynia, all within or near Asia Minor, which is today within Turkey’s borders.

Asia Minor was part of the Roman Empire during biblical times and was majority Greek. The New Testament term "Asia" refers to the Roman province in the western part of Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey).

Asia Minor is the birthplace of many apostles and saints such as Paul of Tarsus, Timothy, Nicholas of Myra, and Polycarp of Smyrna. This area was a central hub for Paul's missionary journeys. 

It is also home to the Seven Churches of Asia (They are Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.)

Constantinople and Antioch (Antakya) were two out of the five ancient cities of the pentarchy.

Antioch is where the followers of Jesus were for the first time in history called “Christians” and the site of one of the earliest churches established by Saint Peter.

All of the first seven Ecumenical Councils were also held in Asia Minor.

The names of the region come from the Greek language such as “Anatolia” (from the Greek “Anatole,” “east” or “sunrise”) and “Istanbul” (from the Greek “into the city”).

Today, only 0.2 percent of Turkey’s population is Christian. The collapse of the Christian population is not due to natural causes. Christian communities in Turkey have, for decades, been decimated through methods such as massacres, pogroms, deportations, discrimination, harassment, and various social and economic pressures that forced them to leave Turkey.
