I built ECKO TECH's entire client tracking app using AI in about 4 prompts. No developer. No SaaS fee. Every off the shelf CRM made me work around their system. So I just built my own and it’s 10x better.
Aman shit in Cabo is wild. Called the cops on a hotel reviewer. Doesn't matter how exclusive the brand is, one terrible mistake like this becomes the story everyone tells. Hospitality is a people business.
Samsung's entire TV business lost money last year. Their data and advertising division? Printing cash. Your smart TV is a billboard that you paid $1,200 for. If you're not turning off every tracking setting on day one, you're the product they're selling.
And this is what people will consistently pay for into the future. Cheap crap and hospitality will be run by the agents and robots. The real stuff will get done with class and elegance and real grit, by the humans, and we’ll eventually all pay a premium to work with just humans
Please don’t send me an email introducing your AI agent. I won’t continue to pay you and will build an AI agent to replace yours and you. I prefer working with humans.
@CliftonSellers I used to take literally any job and ask anyone to do their tech design and install in the their house. I frequently just am telling most people to find someone else now, just taking the ones that really light me up and are bread and butter.
Drill this into your brain: What you want 10 years from now will be entirely different from what you want right now. Optimizing the rest of your life for what you want right now and deferring what you want right now for later in life are equally dangerous. The 20-year-old brain yearns to travel the world because it's encoded for exploration. They're told to wait until they've made it, and spend the next 30 years daydreaming about the day they retire, only to reach that point and realize their 60-year-old brain wants different things.
Your goal should be to achieve that which feeds your soul right now, while building towards what you anticipate to matter in the future. This requires a level of multi-order thinking that most can't entertain, which is why they end up deferring their entire life or becoming slaves to immediate gratification.
We see this play out into two archetypes: The Peter Pan and the masochist. One sacrifices his future for the present, and one sacrifices his present for the future. Neither enjoys the full human experience. As with all things, the one who can learn from both, avoid common pitfalls, and forge his own path truly wins in the end.
Park Hyatt is the most underrated hotel brand for guys who want luxury without the stuffy vibe. Every property feels like you're staying at a rich friend's place. The staff remembers your name by day two and the bars are always solid. I probably send more clients into Park Hyatts than any other brand
Running two businesses at 25 and I built a custom app just to keep track of all my ECKO TECH clients and retainers.
No off the shelf tool worked for how we operate so I said screw it and made my own. That's kind of what you just need to do nowadays.
Your WiFi router sitting on the floor behind your TV is why your smart home sucks. I've rewired houses where the $3,000 Sonos system was running on a $40 router from 2019. The gear isn't the problem, the network is
@jesselyu This slow decline has been happening for years. Apple imo cares so much less about service nowadays, and just wants to outsource it I think. Most of my clients are exactly trying to avoid this crap and get it done privately and way more easily
Scottsdale in the summer is the hack. Every resort is 50%+ off Because of the heat. If you can bear it you can get some of the best of the best hospitality out here for great $$
