ang emosyonal nating lahat pagdating kay heeseung no? he went through so much yet he has a very forgiving heart. napapaisip ka na bakit sobrang bait ng puso nya, only to find out that he chose to be kinder because he had it worst.

maybe somewhere along the way, after everything he went through, evan started looking at life a little differently. when you’ve been forced to face how fragile life can be, you learn to hold onto the smallest things a little tighter.
he plays basketball. he gets excited over little figurines and silly things that make him happy. he can spend an entire day in the studio, recording the same song over and over, trying to become a little better than he was yesterday. he keeps learning, keeps creating, keeps finding reasons to love the days he has.
and maybe that’s what touches me the most about him. he doesn’t seem to need grand things to make life meaningful. sometimes it’s music. sometimes it’s a basketball court. sometimes it’s something tiny and cute that simply makes him smile. sometimes it’s staying up late working on a song because he still has so much he wants to say.
i don't know what went through his mind during those difficult years, but i can't help wondering if somewhere in all of that, he learned not to take the ordinary moments for granted, because look at him now. he’s living. he’s dreaming. he’s making music. he’s laughing over little things. he’s chasing the person he wants to become ♡
and maybe that’s why watching evan pursue his dreams feels so much more precious to me. and "dom" isn't just an album, its his story! evan is filling his days with everything that makes him feel alive, and i hope he gets to have an endless amount of those days.
i hope there are still countless songs waiting for him to write, countless basketball games to play, countless little things waiting to make him smile. i hope life gives him so much more than what he once had to fight through
because after everything, he deserves to simply live a life that feels full. and i'll always be so proud of him for choosing to fill it with music, dreams, and all these little pieces of happiness! ♡
heeseung’s recovery from cancer.. he opened up so much here. i am so broken reading this…
💬 I can’t even imagine how difficult that must’ve been to go through at such a young age.
🦌: The treatment process wasn’t easy, but when I saw how my mom took care of me nonstop, I wanted to put on a brave face for her. When the hospital held events like talent shows for the patients, I’d play guitar and even host them. I dreamed of being a singer ever since I was six, but to be honest, back then I didn’t really have the mental bandwidth to even think about that. I’d watch my friends pass away and kept thinking, “I want to live so badly, I want to go home.” Thankfully I made it through treatment and got to go on with my life, but fitting back in with my friends wasn’t easy. I had a lot less energy, and since my hair was still growing back from chemo, I got teased a lot for it. My friends would be like, “What is that, grass? You’re like a monk.” But I just took it because I wanted to fit in. Once I got to middle school, I had some good friends, but I wasn’t as outgoing as before. I became more of an introvert. I haven’t thought about that in a long time. It hurts to bring it back up. (laughs)
this little boy was only in fourth grade when he was diagnosed with cancer… he was going through treatment while watching the friends he met in the hospital pass away, and all he could think about was, “I want to live so badly. I want to go home.”
He was just a child, yet he already knew what it felt like to be afraid that he might not get to grow up. and somehow, through all of that, he still tried to smile, put on a brave face for his mom, play guitar at hospital events, and hold onto the hope that he would make it home :(
oh God HEESEUNG truly deserves all the love, peace, and gentleness in this world 😭🫳🏻
heeseung opening up about dealing with cancer at the age of six… and through all of the treatments and chemotherapy he still would attend talent shows and even host them for other patients 💔 our fighter thank you for choosing this path even then

EVAN talks about going solo in an interview with Teen Vogue:
— "It’s going to be a really important question, so let me speak in Korean (...) First, a lot of fans knew I was making music, and I too had been thinking that I wanted to share my music with the fans. Through that music, I honestly thought that I could give them great happiness. So, in order to show them this music, I shared such thoughts with the company, and made this decision.”

oh heeseung ☹️
👤: when did you first feel like you wanted to make solo music?
🦌: it’s going to be a really important question, so let me speak in korean. first, a lot of fans knew i was making music, and i too had been thinking that i wanted to share my music with the fans. through that music, i honestly thought that i could give them great happiness. so, in order to show them this music, i shared such thoughts with the company, and made this decision
👤: when you first had those feelings?
🦌: oh that’s tough, because while i want to share, this is honestly not just my story to tell. it could impact many members of the company and many people i love. I don’t think i can
