🔘 DEVELOPING: One more MP to be investigated for illicit enrichment
The Integrity Commission has revealed that one more Member of Parliament is to be investigated for illicit enrichment and/or false declaration. This bring to 15, the number of legislators to be probed for the crime.
▫️The revelation is contained in the Integrity Commission's 2025/2026 Annual Report tabled in Parliament today. It notes that between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2026, a total of 14 MPs and one Senator have been referred for potential illicit enrichment investigation.
▫️Also under probe:
Eight councillors
One permanent secretary
Eight Heads of Entities
Thirty-eight other public officials
▫️The IC will hold a press conference on its latest report.
▫️In its 2024-2025 report, the IC revealed that 13 Members of Parliament and one senator had been referred for illicit enrichment probes over the seven-year period April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2025. It has since been revealed that Government Minister Dr Andrew Wheatley was among them and that he is to be charged. Wheatley has denied wrongdoing and has taken the Commission to court.
▫️The @integrityja's Annual Report for 2023-2024 revealed that eight parliamentarians were under investigation for alleged illicit enrichment between April 2022 and March 2024.
▫️The 2022-2023 report flagged six lawmakers who were being investigated for illicit enrichment. Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness was among them, however, the Director of Corruption Prosecution ruled that there was insufficient evidence to charge him. The Prime Minister denied wrongdoing too and has also taken the IC to court.
Do we accept this clip from Marco Rubio as being authentic and that being the position of the US government? What then would make Jamaica/US TCN agreement not include the despicables spoken of here? If our agreement is so different, why the reluctance in having it tabled?

Although iran was eliminated tonight, they played three matches, and in every single one, they fought with heart, pride, and dignity.
They traveled internationally for each match and were treated horribly the whole time. Despite surviving war, sanctions, isolation, and everything stacked against them, Iran kept showing resilience.
They won the world’s heart.
💢Shame on FIFA for dragging politics onto the pitch.⚽️🏆👎
Three games, three disallowed goals, all ending in draws. You can't tell me this isn't rigged. FIFA has clearly politicized this #WorldCup to keep Iran from advancing.🇮🇷 That extra-time goal was CLEARLY onside. Disgraceful.
Help us locate missing Mikayla Lewis. If you know her whereabouts, please call the Olympic Garden Police or the nearest police station.

The captain of Iran’s National Team, Mehdi Taremi, calls out FIFA and the U.S.:
“This is a disaster World Cup. We can’t stay in the country and have to travel every time we play without any recovery. Now we can’t stay in Seattle and have to return to Tijuana. This is not fair.”

I Asked Dr. Chang This Question. He Had No Answer.
Yesterday I asked Dr. Chang a simple question:
Was he aware that a US federal court in Massachusetts has already ruled that these TCN arrangements are unlawful? And that the US government is now appealing that ruling to the Supreme Court?
Silence. No answer.
Jamaicans deserve clarity on deals that affect our sovereignty, our security, and our reputation. If the US courts have questions about legality, why doesn’t the government?
We cannot outsource Jamaica’s decision-making. We cannot gamble with agreements the courts are calling into question.
The people deserve answers, not avoidance.

PAC Chairman Julian Robinson expressed serious concern over the failure of a public official to appear before the Committee despite both an invitation and a summons being issued.
Mr. Robinson noted that in his years serving on and chairing the Public Accounts Committee, he had never encountered a situation of this nature. He argued that such actions undermine Parliament's constitutional role in holding public bodies accountable and ensuring good governance.
Referencing findings from the Auditor General's report, he stressed that public officials entrusted with managing taxpayer-funded institutions must be prepared to answer questions and account for their actions.
The Chairman warned that failing to address such conduct could set a dangerous precedent and weaken the accountability mechanisms that protect the public interest.
