One of my favourite moments of 2021 occurred last week when I was in the post office and the post master asked a woman what she was posting and she paused for dramatic effect and announced, βEYELASHESβ in a singularly sinister way. And everyone turned away, out of respect.
Please read this excellent account of the Hillsborough disaster, 97 Lost Futures by @PatrickWray1 on the always thought provoking @exitpressuk. Patrickβs writing style is beautifully sparse, always avoiding false sentiment or platitudes.
Super talent @PatrickWray1 composed haunting cool music for this piece which was my first foray into stitching on printed images and depicts a Derbyshire beauty spot Surprise View hopefully in surprising waysβ¦

The supremely skilled Patrick Wray @PatrickWray1 composed some other worldly music and I stitched some pictures and this is the result. Not only is he a towering talent but heβs also extremely kind:
@Kerry2001 @radio_sheff @PatrickWray1 @saltpublishing Kerry we love your work so much and if you ever wanted to come onto Radioactive to chat about your writing or walking or anything just give us a shout ποΈπ»
This work (Single Use Only on @seeyouelsewhere) would never have arisen without twitter, a place that allowed me to meet @PatrickWray1 who is talented and generous, and @underagreysky Paul who is patient and kind and @Matt_Allan78 whose work is inspiring.
