HT 🇪🇸 2-0 🏴
Summary: Game's gone. VAR just can't be intervening for a red card to Maeda for that. Why not?
📺 VAR can only intervene for a red card for either a ‘clear and obvious error’ or ‘serious missed incident’
⛔️ The ref has given a yellow card, this original decision "will not be changed unless the video review clearly shows that the decision was a ‘clear and obvious error"
🟥 Red card for serious foul play if: "he uses excessive force or brutality against an opponent when challenging for the ball when it is in play"
🟨 Yellow card for unsporting behaviour if: "commits in a reckless manner a direct free kick offence"
💯 For the VAR to intervene and send the ref to the monitor, they have to be 100% sure that this crosses the threshold for a clear and obvious error
🚫 The very fact that it is debatable if it was either reckless (yellow card) or excessive force (red card) demonstrates that it was not a clear and obvious error and the VAR should not have intervened
@britishairways I’d just like to comment on the shocking flight I was on to Rio from London on Tuesday. Flight 249 btw. As a frequent flyer this might be the worst and most disorganised flights I’ve ever been on. What has happened BA… 1/3
@britishairways To add, the flight was also delayed and communication on this was shocking!!! Contacting anyone at BA is also hassle…. I have a return flight coming up at the weekend.. I’m dreading it… sort it out @britishairways
@britishairways@britishairways then the cabin crew were all over the place, had no direction from senior crew. Food dished out but no drinks, appeared to be only one crew for entire flight… food still being handed out with 20mins to landing call. Need to maybe rethink my preferred carrier. 3/3
Nice wee chat with @BrewDogJames in Heathrow, was a gentleman. Good to here the hospitality sector is recovering globally… jumped on my flight and was happily served up this 👍🏻. @cobbs2000 just need to get the local to get something decent on tap now!!
