Hundreds of police officers are on standby tonight and this weekend for possible violence across Northern Ireland.

Update: A police bulldozer has been transported to Belfast to assist with clearing roads and blockades.

The vehicle is very rarely deployed.

It comes after a subdued third night of disorder, one house was set alight and several bins burnt in Belfast @BelTel

BREAKING: Police are fire fighters are at the scene of a house fire close to the Shore Road in Belfast.

I understand the fire has been started deliberately.

UPDATE: I understand a number of homes have been set alight following disorder at different parts of NI.

Several fire appliances are at a blaze close to the Crumlin Road in Belfast.

Police tell me another property has just been set alight in the Bute Park area of Dundonald. @BelTel

A large protest has began here at Cloughfern on the outskirts of Belfast tonight after last night’s attempted murder in north Belfast.

Around 200 now gathered, police are directing traffic away from the area.
