.@LordPeterHendy@simonlightwood@LilianGreenwood Why are you not addressing this issue properly. Blind people have told you time & time again floating bus stops do not work. The new floating bus stops guidance will not work to resolve the concerns raised - BS8300:2018 will.
@SimonZev@uncreativetom Quite right. I would say similar trains on paper still need proper testing on a specific route, especially for station stops, safety checks and crew familiarisation.
@uncreativetom Because it is not only about whether the train can run. Platform stops, signalling, timings, staff procedures and safe operation for passengers all still need to be checked.
@UnderwaterMedia Remarkable footage. More needs to be done to support and protect this journey so future generations can continue to observe these stunning animals in their natural habitat.

@JoshuaWhite258@RailwayMuseum@ELRPSociety What a brilliant way to spend a long weekend. I would have loved to see Flying Scotsman in such lovely surroundings. These photographs capture a truly memorable occasion beautifully.
Sound on 🔊 He doesn’t want to come to the kill floor👺He doesn’t want to be slaughtered. He resists with all strength he has. He is gone now 💔All slaughter is barbaric and WRONG #StopTheKillings on your behalf #LiveVegan do the right thing 🙏
Most people have no idea where many pet store birds and small animals come from.
Investigations have exposed large breeding facilities supplying the pet trade where animals may be kept in crowded conditions and treated like products. Every purchase creates demand for more breeding.
Please adopt from rescues and shelters instead of buying from pet stores whenever possible.
Animals are not merchandise. They deserve better. 💔🐦🐹🐰

@railnigel What a lovely heritage setting. Thirteen engines in steam must have made for a memorable first visit. The organisation sounds excellent too. A few more platform benches would make it even better.
@JeffAlbiston A wonderful photograph of U Class 31639 at Reading. I always enjoy images like this, with the semaphore signals and atmosphere preserving such a memorable glimpse into British railway history.
@ChimeWhistle@ClarkeMicah@rorysutherland Quite right. I would take a clear announcement from the conductor over a polite poster every time. Otherwise the quieter coach becomes an ordinary coach with a nicer sign.
@ClarkeMicah@rorysutherland Quite right. I rather like that approach: a clear and firm announcement before departure would make the quieter coach far more effective, and spare everyone the usual small theatre of ignored signage.
@the_transit_guy Quite right. To me, Tokyo shows how a very large city can function remarkably well when rail and public transport are properly developed.
@ChimeWhistle It does seem more complicated than just waiting for the unions. Hopefully something is put in writing soon so everyone knows where things stand.
