@BradAllenNFL Definitley dont disagree. Just haven't seen a huge uptick yet (bad kicking?).
Could see a scenario like in baseball where OVERs hit at a high rate because Totals didn't adjust for launch angles.
Definitely with more offense friendly rules a macro theme to investigate more.
@BradAllenNFL Average total of 45.2 through 2 weeks is inline with past 3 seasons (average total has been 45)
O/U are 17-15 (53.1%) to the OVER so far in 2018.
@JustinZovas Simple bet sizing heuristics will get you to 99% of Kelly's goal (maximize gain/ minimize loss) without fooling yourself into believing you quantified your edge precisely.
@ReformedBroker@michaelbatnick More variance in NFL projections due to shorter season and fewer possessions / plays.
Even if you are a bad team in NFL, easier to make a turnaround by just being "lucky". Less likely in NBA.
Someone has to have the best record at meaningless preseason football.
John Harbaugh is 28-12 SU and 23-13-4 ATS in preseason football.
