Amerykanie robią to, czego się zdaniem wielu miało nie dać zrobić (bo za dużo okrętów, ludzi i sprzętu trzeba by angażować, nie mówiąc o prawie morskim). USA wcześniej założyły blokadę na Wenezuelę i Kubę. Teraz trzymają na Ormuz. To pokazuje, że można by zablokować nawet np. Malakkę i kontrolować przepływy do Chin. Bo tu nawet nie chodzi o zatrzymywanie/cofanie każdego statku. Tylko połączenie systemowych sankcji z fizyczną egzekucją. Ci co działają legalnie natychmiast się podporządkują, a reszta nawet jak będzie chciała omijać sankcje i blokady, to będzie to się wiązało z dodatkowymi kosztami. Ryzykiem zarekwirowania poszczególnych, złapanych statków. Większymi kosztami ubezpieczenia, dłuższą trasą morską (w celu ominięcia blokad), a wreszcie kosztami pośredników, którzy "legalizowaliby" lewą kasę płaconą za surowce/towar. Amerykanie mają kontrolę na morzach i oceanach i od 2026 roku począwszy demonstrują, że nie zawahają się jej użyć w kluczowych momentach.
Takim może być np. inwazja na Tajwan. Już o tym pisałem, że Amerykanie wcale nie muszą bronić samej wyspy. Mogą założyć - w stosownej odległości od chińskiego wybrzeża - blokadę morską na Chiny i zadusić Pekin. Bez wchodzenia do bitwy na niekorzystnych warunkach (blisko wybrzeży Chin).
W zasadzie, to amerykańska blokada cieśniny Ormuz pokazuje, że by dusić Chińczyków nie trzeba w ogóle tego robić na Pacyfiku. Można na Zatoce Omańskiej, albo na Morzu Czerwonym lub już Śródziemnym. Innymi słowy odcięcie Chin od importu surowców energetycznych, ale i także od europejskiego czy amerykańskiego rynku zbytu wcale nie wymaga od USA operowania w okolicach Tajwanu czy nawet Filipin. Łańcuchy dostaw można przerwać tysiące kilometrów od Chin, pozostając totalnie poza zasięgiem sprawczości Pekinu.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court on April 29 threw out a congressional map in Louisiana that had been drawn to protect the voting power of Black residents, a decision that undercuts a landmark civil rights law.

An ideologically divided court sided 6-3 with the Trump administration and with the non-Black voters who challenged the map as relying too heavily on race to sort voters – and it did so just three years after upholding the 1965 Voting Right Act’s vote dilution protections for racial minorities.

The decision could ultimately reduce the number of Black and Hispanic members of Congress and boost Republicans' chances of winning more seats in the U.S. House, where they currently have a thin majority. States now have a freer hand to rejigger boundaries of voting districts at all levels of government.
