Disability Social Group is a peer led space to socialise where you can meet other disabled people. It takes place every Friday 14:00 to 15:00. Feel free to join for as little or as long as you like.
All disabilities, such as physical, mental, neurological etc, are welcome and the group is free.
The Community Table is a large table in the main space next to the cafe, so noise levels will vary.
I can't drink without plastic straws. For years I've bought clear ones online (look a bit nicer than kids' ones). Since the straw ban they've got more expensive and now they've disappeared
If your environmentalism only affects disabled people, it's not as progressive as you think
I’m still looking for interviewees for my dissertation project. 📢
If you’re aged 16-25 and a current or former health based youth forum member I would love to hear from you!

This describes the isolation of living with ME so well. My house and my therapists office have become my entire world. Sometimes it's hard to remember what else is out there!
ME is the disease where pushing harder can make you sicker. And millions more are getting ME following #COVID19. Will you #LearnFromME on #WorldMEDay this May 12th? Find out more at https://t.co/1x4YIJSM9y
Having a long term illness with no treatment, cure or known cause is weird. You're expected to just live in pain everyday and deal with it alone because there's no funding, research or understanding. It's terrifying and lonely #MECFS
I've felt guilty not doing as much as I used to, but am slowly accepting that I'm currently too unwell and that's okay. I'm sharing this in case anyone can relate or needs to also hear this. 3/3
I've decided to take a break for a while from 'direct' activism to look after my mental health. Since my friend took their life after being failed by services, I just can't bring myself to engage without distress. That and M.E leaving me with a few hours of energy a week 1/3
I've had to re evaluate what I spent time on. I want to do more but physically can't, and at this point in time I need to focus on things that are supporting my wellbeing. I'll still be posting my mh art over on Instagram (same username) 2/3

@PrideCaf @TransPrideSW Hi I'm a non-binary artist! I have a zine on non-binary identities on my etsy HumanSightings, and some pronoun pins 😊 https://t.co/zOAsy3vzbF
Does anyone know of a service that offers one-off support worker hiring? I need support for about 2-3 hours to get to an outdoor funeral safely, but google isn't being very helpful. (Help needed with navigating and travelling safely and not being alone/anxiety reasons)
It's ironic to see services posting bright graphics saying "just ask for help" when in reality people are screaming for help, but they're deemed not ill enough, too unwell, a frequent flyer or not cooperative enough to help. People are dying because of budget cuts and tickboxes
An appointment I've been desperately waiting for has been cancelled with no reschedule due to the Queens death. Its pretty ironic that they're honouring someone dying by cancelling NHS appointment that we seriously need. Waiting lists can't afford even a day less.
