Anxiety does not carry tomorrow. It only steals today.

It pulls up a chair at the kitchen table and spreads out the bills, the diagnosis, the unanswered text, the child I cannot fix, the future I cannot control.

It tells me worry means I care or rehearsing disaster is wisdom. Soon I am wandering through rooms God never opened, trying to live tomorrow with today’s breath.

“Do not be anxious about anything,” he writes, then tells us to bring “everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving” before God (Philippians 4:6).

Prayer is how I stop letting fear hold the keys. I take the bill, the test result, the burden and I place it before the Father who never sleeps.

Thanksgiving reminds my frightened heart that God has carried me before.

Anxiety may knock today…it may rattle the windows, but the house belongs to Christ.

So I will pray before I panic. I will worship before I rehearse disaster. I will hand tomorrow back to the One already standing there.
