From an official's point of view, love the job Ray Scapinello did - grabbed him low, near the waist to help control him, talked to him the entire time to calm him down. Great Job Ray! Did you notice the size difference .

Thank you Dr. Auer for providing me with HOPE last June. Your skill and compassion was greatly appreciated through my journey. I am forever grateful and have renewed HOPE. @OttawaHospital #YesWeCan #BeatCancer

[The Ottawa Hospital @OttawaHospital]

Hope matters. But as Dr. Rebecca Auer explains, it doesn't come from a wish.

On Monday night an NHL Referee waved off a penalty call. Although rare, it has happened before but it is rare. In my 40+ years of officiating in minor hockey I've seen it on a few occasions and have been involved in one reversal myself. https://t.co/486OHDq3ZC

Congrats Sean!

[Sean 🇨🇦 @ottawareferee]

Delighted and thankful to be reappointed by the HEO Board for another two year term as the Assistant Referee-in-Chief of @HEOhockey. Lots of work to do. Let’s go!

The City of Edmonton has been using a similar water fountain this year.

[City of Ottawa @ottawacity]

How refreshing!
We recently launched a pilot project to install the first hydrant drinking water fountain!
The fountain will spend about two weeks at Somerset St West to assess community interest before being rotated to different locations across #OttCity: https://t.co/pAcpPwsRSV

Bottom line:
Vaccines saved lives and so did mandates.

"at least 70,000 more Canadians would have died during the first two years of the pandemic if Canada had the same death rates as the United States"

Yes they do, Cooper should look at Perry's actions in game 2 - with Compher splayed on the ice, Perry put his weight on the forward’s leg to help himself up, then dropped his left knee on Compher’s ankle.

[Pierre LeBrun @PierreVLeBrun]

Cooper regarding the Toews hit on Kucherov: “… guys know what they’re doing.”

So we can read into that he didn’t like the play.

Did the zip-line last year and it was lots of fun. Wished it was longer but what an experience. Have the video to celebrate the occasion.

[Ottawa Magazine @ottawamag]

Shout-out to longtime contributor and travel writer extraordinaire Laura Byrne Paquet of @OttawaRoadTrips for her win at the @Ottawa_Tourism travel writing awards. If anyone can convince you to try zip-lining across the Ottawa River, it's our LBP!

Friendly reminder that the new sub-variant (BA.2) is now starting the next wave. Covid is still here despite what politicians say. Wastewater is showing a rise. Testing has slowed considerably, so case numbers are under-reported.

Congratulations John, well deserved!
