GOOD NEWS: This morning, security operatives from the Musawa and Matazu Police Divisions successfully repelled an attempted attack on Gwarjo town, Matazu LGA of Katsina State by suspected bandits.

The bandits reportedly fled after an intense exchange, abandoning a newly acquired motorcycle, two AK-49 rifles, ammunition and a mobile phone at the scene.

Authorities are expected to intensify follow-up operations using the recovered items for intelligence gathering.

Commendation to the officers and personnel of the Nigeria Police Force for their swift response and bravery in defending the community. May their efforts continue to bring lasting peace and security to the region. Amen.

SAD NEWS: Last night, suspected bandits reportedly attacked Kogari community in Matazu LGA of Katsina State, abducting five people, including the village head, Bello Abdulkadir Kogari, his wife, daughter, sister, and another woman from the community.

Residents say the attack has deepened fear across the area amid persistent insecurity and recurring kidnappings in parts of Nigeria’s North-West.

How many more rural communities must suffer these repeated attacks before intelligence gathering, rapid response, and local protection measures become truly effective?
