update:

@openai codex + lazycodex built the whole thing and now it draws on screen while it explains
i had to pause and steer it for a stretch, not gonna pretend it was hands off

but for the entire session? i think i sent under 20 prompts
still needs work before it feels actually real time tho

it takes a while to think and plan before it even starts drawing, and theres way too much text on screen, pretty sure thats coming from the skill file prompts
wanna see how much further it gets, next demo will look different

open-clicky can draw on the screen now, kind of like their demo
not as smooth as theirs yet tho, i ended up having to steer codex a couple times to keep it pointed the right way as there needs to be voice interactions with the interface which is hard parts to debug by codex itself (if there is a way, let me know so it can have full self verification loop)

still wild honestly, seeing it get here mostly on its own

but it turned out i won 1st at @OpenAI build day in Seoul.

we were given 1 hour to build. codex as the judge was the most important part, not a human so i tried to think what codex cares about when its the one judging
it uses computer use. it literally has to click through your thing itself to score it

i made every stage dead simple for it to control. like nothing weird it could trip on, nothing it could get stuck halfway through the topic was literally create something that makes codex happy, like a game codex can actually play

so i built codex's day off, a tiny 3-game arcade where codex finally gets to rest. first game it pokes around six little desk comforts, lamp mug book etc, and this mascot blushes brighter every click which honestly made me laugh. then theres a small room it wanders til it trips a secret ending. last one it just tidies up and ships and the whole gray page blooms into confetti, all meant to give codex a very happy feeling!

yeah i was so sure i lost. dropped to 9th mid-judging, gave up like 3 times maybe i was too dramatic lol turns out the bet paid off. i wasnt really optimizing for how it looked, more just. can codex actually get through it without fumbling

gpt image 2 is so good

i fed it one screenshot of our demo page and it generated this whole promo set for the chrome store

kept our extension ui consistent across all of them too, that part surprised me
