how did the movie miss the entire point of this scene so badly? "does that make any sense?" "yeah." i fucking laughed. katniss was not supposed to get it!
another book to screen change i did not appreciate ... replacing a tense moment between k & p that showed off their individuality with a "cute" one, depicting an understanding katniss, was definitely NOT the solution to your ignorance of everlark as a romantic pair!
film ver. missed the mark on this one. because katniss wasn’t afraid snow would kill peeta, knew that would be too merciful. what terrified her was that being the mockingjay would lead to more torment for him. she would rather peeta die than subject him to endless, cruel torture.
