Hope others follow @CoryBooker example. Making Senate functioning dependent upon the administration respecting the law, due process rights, and the courts seems the right choice - to fight for the constitution being followed and the rights of individuals.

@CoryBooker Thank you. Hope your colleagues follow your example until the government upholding & following the law, and not suppressing voting is followed. Just an international observer but that seems the basic civilised position that the Trump administration is breaking so starkly.

@JamilahLemieux My impression of all those photos is varying amounts of tendons is what is seen - not bones. As I'm not a doctor: if it's a sudden change then seeing a doctor makes sense. Take photos & follow up later with medic in any case seems good in case a sign of longer term issue.

@JamilahLemieux "tendon vs bone" test (not a doctor) would be feel from knuckle at base of index finger towards wrist & you should feel what is clearly hard bone. Extend index finger from curled up to straight: you should see move a tendon that is separate & more towards other fingers than bone.

FWIW, this propaganda campaign against Haitian migrants is really, really painful. For a while, but especially this past year, things have been terrifying and heartbreaking for all of us, and to be baselessly, racially smeared for political points is just so cruel. And scary.

@anathemadeviced @emrazz I'll link to https://t.co/EJo4VoeanA - replicates results, puts numbers on issue and while one cannot declare a random dude "safe" the ones that are more likely to be rapists are identifiable (with enough observation) - as hostile sexism is reliably correlated behaviour.

In Calais, a short memorial is held each time someone dies trying to reach the U.K. and their names are added to an ever growing list which will grow again after yesterday’s deaths in the Channel - twelve people dead including six children. Tragic doesn’t even begin to cover it.

@JessicaCalarco 'social reproduction' came to mind - but quick skim on how that's used brings up both 'reproductive labour' & 'reproducing existing social structures'. No/fewer kids is change to both - system that relies on surplus labour will need immigrants which e.g. Japan & US not keen on.
