This just further cements that this character isn’t Clark Kent. We can bring up how much of a “dweeb” he’s supposed to be when he’s not Superman in some shows, but you cannot possibly make me believe that Clark would not be the one to propose first.

When it comes to relationships, I usually stay out of dynamics. You do you and I do me, all that jazz, so my complaint here is about how inconsistent this is with his entire history and the character himself.

I don’t care if this is some “new interpretation,” it’s so far removed from Superman that he just feels like a completely different archetype.

The emasculation ritual continues. I've never been a Superman fan but I feel bad for the men who are because this is just sad. It's not unexpected, this is in a long line of male heroes...Spiderman was just added to that list and it will continue.

The reason it keeps happening is they're selling to women. That is the death of art but corporations don't really care. History rhymes so if you look at the state of literature you'll see the same thing happened to novels as well. They started selling to women and before long we stopped having great writers and literary masterpieces....instead we get softcore porn that passes as literature.
