@shaunking Fight back? A good chunk of the evil you see in this world is done by government, but yet everyone seems to think that they should
Be the only ones to have a gun…can’t fight back when they have a bazooka and you have a stick…
@RodAVanier 2/2 You can’t opt out, negotiate the rate, or redirect it elsewhere.
Defined by statute: CPP payments are required under federal law, which is a core feature of taxation.
From a legal and economic standpoint, CPP fits the definition of a payroll tax.
Call CRA and ask is it a tax
@RodAVanier If I can’t opt out, and the government takes it, it is a tax. Why CPP is considered a tax
Mandatory. If you earn employment or self-employment income in Canada, you must pay CPP
Collected by the government: CPP is collected by the CRA the same way income tax is
Not optional 1/2
@CheriDiNovo Reader context notes for the win again…😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️14 states, not all 50. And 76% of our electricity to them represents less than 1% of theirs….sounds a little bit more like we really really really need them…🤦🏻♂️

@MTW2478 I’m fine with paying a higher tax rate (I’m actually a libertarian who wants smaller gov) to fund socialism. Two things from that though, 1, our socialism needs to be better funded from the feds down, and the prov gov has to properly fund it, and 2. Spend our money a little wiser
@fmcmurran@gator_gum “Smart voting” was responsible for the ndp almost being wiped out. It’s funny, that guy is nowhere to be found online anymore. 😂😂😂
@gator_gum I’ve seen a lot of “left leaning” people posting videos about not being happy. They normally vote ndp but were so scared of PP getting in, that they voted liberal, it was because of “smart voting”. Carney is doing a lot of cuts PP said he was going to do and they aren’t happy. 😂
@LauraBabcock Canada is a wonderful, amazing country….that has some serious problems that need to be addressed. And ignoring them because Cons say they exist is not going to take this country to the next level. Working together to address the issues is what needs to be done.
