#32 - Purple Sidestepper
Mario Bros. (Arcade, 1983)
Final form of crab... you've never seen a crab this fast. It'll still take two hits to knock down, if you can keep up.
#31 - Blue Sidestepper
Mario Bros. (Arcade, 1983)
Like it's fellow turtles, Sidesteppers also change color. Blue is their middle color, so things could be better, but they could also be worse. I actually used to have a little toy of a blue crab, and- wait come back i was talki
#30 - Sidestepper
Mario Bros. (Arcade, 1983)
Sidesteppers are similar to Shellcreepers, but take two hits to knock over. They seem to have quite the short temper... good thing it can't drive, right?
#29 - Red Shellcreeper
Mario Bros. (Arcade, 1983)
At it's absolutely most aggressive state, a Shellcreeper turns red! They get super fast, basically. Their red descendants lost this speed, but gained edge-of-platform awareness. Fair trade? Who knows.
#28 - Purple Shellcreeper
Mario Bros. (Arcade, 1983)
When a green-shelled Shellcreeper powers up, it turns Purple! This is the case for turtles in the real world too. Naturally, this is not the Shellcreeper's final form.....
#27 - Shellcreeper
Mario Bros. (Arcade, 1983)
Koopa Troopa's ancestor... despite how similar their shells look to the common Koopa's, it is not recommended to spend hours of your life stomping on.... Shellcreepers. You will perish.
#26 - Luigi (Classic)
Mario Bros. (Arcade, 1983)
Jumpman's brother, now donning his own classic fit. Technically, he first appeared in the Game & Watch iteration of Mario Bros., but don't tell anybody.
Game #4 - Greenhouse (Game & Watch, 1982)
[COMPLETE!] - [+6 Characters]
[Total: 25 Characters]
Stanley and the Greenhouse crew join the party! Not the Mario-est game, realistically, but that's never stopped me before.
Game #3 - Donkey Kong Jr. (Arcade, 1982)
[COMPLETE!] - [+7 Characters]
DK Jr. and his adversaries are here! Father and son reunite, how lovely. The enemies are also notably outweighing the good guys. Will it stay this way forever...?
#25 - Bee
Greenhouse (Game & Watch, 1982)
The dastardly bee, villain to the cat. Seems to provoke it for no real reason, other than the cat simply existing on the bee's turf. Possibly related to the Buzzbees from Donkey Kong 3 also.
#24 - Cat
Greenhouse (Game & Watch, 1982)
This cat thinks it found a nice resting spot inside the Greenhouse, but unluckily for it, Stanley missed a bee. I guess a screaming cat makes for a good wake up alarm, as I'm sure many pet owners would agree.
#23 - Inchworm
Greenhouse (Game & Watch, 1982)
These creepy crawlers prefer the flowers on the Greenhouse's second floor. They crawl along vines to reach the flowers, because I guess the vine isn't good enough eats for these picky bugs.
#22 - Spider
Greenhouse (Game & Watch, 1982)
These arachnids feast on the lower flowers in the Greenhouse, slowly descending on it's web hoping to not get fumigated back to the top. Not sure what a spider is eating plants for, but I'm not judgin'.
#21 - Flower
Greenhouse (Game & Watch, 1982)
The poor pitiful potted pals are the target of the pests crawling into the Greenhouse. It's Stanley's job to protect them, as we all know a plant in a pot couldn't be a Fighter. Not even Fighter # 70!
#20 - Stanley
Greenhouse (Game & Watch, 1982)
Donkey Kong's newest rival, Stanley the Bugman! Protector of plants, banisher of bugs, guy who I wish would show up again but Nintendo hates me specifically so it'll never happen.
#19 - Blue Spark
Donkey Kong Jr. (Arcade, 1982)
It's blueness allows it to travel across different platforms through trails of static. So if that's ever been something you'd like to do, get bluer NOW!!!
#18 - Red Spark
Donkey Kong Jr. (Arcade, 1982)
A small electrical spirit, flashing with red energy. The precursor to many circling balls of fire and electricity yet to come. A true staple of society, really.
#17 - Nitpicker
Donkey Kong Jr. (Arcade, 1982)
Another bird, these ones found more naturally in the wild, although still seemingly deployed by Mario. I guess if he's kidnapping DK in a cage, it'd make sense he has other animals at his disposal... Frightening.
#16 - Bird
Donkey Kong Jr. (Arcade, 1982)
That certainly is a bird, no doubt about that. They join the Red Snapjaws as Mario's last line of defense. Not sure why he has so many birds in his hideout, but whatever works I guess.
#15 - Red Snapjaw
Donkey Kong Jr. (Arcade, 1982)
These somewhat smarter Snapjaws are better at climbing up and down vines, making them a bigger threat to Junior. You can tell that they are scary because they are red!!!!
