xuruohan and chenglei’s the lament of autumn’s tv ratings are not only impressive, they’re now among the best of the entire year !! 🥳

first thing first, for nine consecutive days now the drama has managed to surpass its previous day’s ratings while also holding the number one spot in the prime-time satellite tv rankings for nine days in a row! today, the ratings peaked at 0.6185%!!!!!!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳

as per kuyun data, this is the third highest rating peak for hunantv dramas that premiered this year!!

but that’s not all. when it comes to average ratings, official kuyun data shows that the lament of autumn averaged 0.4661% across its first 16 episodes, making it the second-highest-rated drama on hunan tv for the entire year so far !! the entire year !!

hunantv also posted earlier today that the drama’s cvb rating has surpassed 0.4%, ranking first among all satellite tv channels in its time slot! its average cvb rating for the first 16 episodes is 0.3579%, putting it incredibly close to taking the second-place spot on hunan tv for the entire year too! (second place is at 0.358%)

fans on the super topic are celebrating: “the lament of autumn is a republican-era drama that wasn’t initially positioned as a major, high-profile production. it took over a time slot from a previous series with a very low cvb rating of 0.15%, yet it has fought its way up to compete for the number two spot of the year”

congrats to dongdongxixi on these very very impressive tv ratings, i’m already beyond proud and happy 😮‍💨 never would i have imagined this drama would have such crazy tv ratings honestly, but they deserve it 🥹

I am overly moved by today's episodes. Maybe my favorite ones so far, even if there have been multiple great episodes.

speaking of legendary reuters…

[𝚌𝚑𝚘𝚊 @cho_adila]

this is such an important scene for him to address that traumatic event and admit that he was wrong, i'd say he's owning up to his mistakes and taking accountability for his actions. Thank you writer🥺 #TheLamentofAutumn

Goodbye to Shang Zhitao and Luan Nian for being the most dysfunctional cdrama couple of 2026. Your crown has been snatched by the anti christ warlord and his stockholm syndrome princess

This drama is doing so well, surpassed 0.6 on TV rating, rated s+, a 9.1 rating on weibo and 9.8 on iqyi…. loads of viral post on socials. Mind you this is a republican drama with a very morally grey character.

#TheLamentOfAutumn the hit that you are

💯 agreed. If you look past the noise, The Lament of Autumn is a masterclass in political intrigue and complex character studies. Zhang Lei makes YCX impossibly fascinating to watch despite everything, and Cici plays Pingjun with such grounded grace. A truly remarkable show that

I genuinely feel like the lament of autumn deserves more praise. beyond the toxicity, the story has so much depth, the political schemes are intriguing and the execution keeps me hooked. it’s such a fascinating drama to watch.

And ChangLei that man deserves every award and recognition because what a performance!!!
he makes YCX so compelling even when his actions are questionable.

Cici deserves her flowers too because portraying a character like pingjun, a woman constantly thriving to survive without losing herself, is no easy feat.
