I love women who are so interesting & dynamic that you never even know if they have a partner because itโs the least interesting thing about them.
the neurodivergent ick when you realize halfway through a conversation that correcting this person is completely pointless because theyโd need enough self-awareness and emotional intelligence to even consider the possibility that they might be wrong.
A pattern Iโve noticed: Youโll never build something meaningful when every time it gets hard you assume youโve chosen the wrong path.
Friction is not always a sign youโre going the wrong way.
You have to do the thing, feel the friction, and trust that friction doesnโt mean failureโฆ itโs progress.
Your relationship with yourself cannot be built entirely around improvement. At some point, you have to become someone you are allowed to enjoy being. You get to be proud of who you are. Present tense.
โA crooked tree lives its own life, but a straight tree is turned into wood.โ
- Chinese Proverb
The idea behind this proverb comes most clearly from the writings of Zhuangzi, one of the central thinkers of Daoism in the 4th century BCE.
In the Zhuangzi, a famous story tells of a large, twisted tree that carpenters ignore because its wood is unsuitable for construction. Precisely because it is considered โuseless,โ the tree is never cut down and survives to live out its natural life.
Zhuangzi uses the tree as a metaphor for human life. In Daoist thought, being โusefulโ by conventional standards can make a person vulnerable to exploitation, control, and exhaustion. Those who are unconventional, overlooked, or unwilling to fit societyโs expectations may instead preserve their freedom and live on their own terms.
Ego says: make them regret losing access to you.
Wisdom says: build a life so full of meaning that revenge begins to feel like an embarrassing use of your imagination. There are better things to do with a morning than rehearse someone elseโs future remorse. Let your energy become creation, friendship, work, laughter, strength, whatever brings you back into your own hands.
If u remove entertainment & everything that gives u easy pleasure, ur brain gradually starts extracting fun from boring things instead. Eventually, u'll feel more fun doing what everyone else calls unbearable boredom. That's where greatness begins. Hard tasks start feeling easy bcz their torture becomes ur warmup. The only price is enduring a little torture in the beginning. this is the secret that moves everything in ur favour. The brain works on thresholds. The more pleasure u feed it, the higher its baseline becomes. What once felt extraordinary soon feels normal. That's why it also works in reverse. The more u indulge it, the less satisfaction u get. Keep subtracting. Keep growing. Easy.
People are surprised by these files but cannibalism was a regular part of chattel slavery. They were eating their slaves. I wish basic US history classes didnโt condense mass enslavement down to just picking cotton. They were EATING them. Literally boiling fat down to make oil as holiday gifts after a lynching.
Sometimes โlocking inโ looks like sitting in the sun and remembering that your life is also meant to be lived, not just optimized, monetized, and turned into proof that youโre worthy.
