@markgurman Siri AI has only just “started” rolling out for developers in the US.
Is there an estimated wait time for developers waitlisted who have updated to the IOS 27 beta?
@ScottyBeamIO@starmexxx Then you should’ve grabbed one in 2025, this was announced in late 2024. They are more focused on vision ai for things like robot vacuums, not LLMs. You’ll get more bang for your buck going a different route if running a LLM locally is your goal.
@TechByTaraa Zen Browser for personal use, I love how customizable it is. I was surprised because I hate Firefox, which it’s forked from.
Edge and Brave feel like reskinned Chromium browsers to me personally; which they are.
I use Edge at work and Safari on my iPhone though.
@cashintern@Docker You don’t, run it in the CLI. If you need a GUI, download Portainer - I use LazyDocker and ssh if I need to.
Docker Desktop is half-baked, you’ll have less issues by not using it.
@laytonga@WindowsLatest But that’s been a thing, even windows itself is basically a subscription now.
I thought the direction everyone is saying it’s going in is AI replacing SaaS and recreating shittier version of subscription services.
I don’t actually know, just wondering.
@rohanpaul_ai How tf is Zoom in a better position than Google, Microsoft, or even Apple? MS’s catalog includes Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Azure, GitHub, and MSOffice and has large stakes in Anthropic and OpenAI already. This is worse than when Larry Ellison said the same thing about Oracle.
@Cr4zy0_0@scaling01 OpenAI cant afford to compete anymore & won’t survive without a bailout. They aren’t really excelling at one niche or even being the go-to master of none pick + Google likely has the best compute margin thanks to their in-house TPUs, actually are profitable, & aren’t 400B in debt
@deedydas OpenAIs dilemma is they don’t offer a single product, aside from possibly Sora, that doesn’t have a better AI alternative on the market right now.
And 5.2 is just the same obvious coat of lipstick they have been pushing on consumers since 4.5.
@BostonDynamics Have any of your top brass looked into using cats instead of dogs for your robots? The cat population problem is out of control, so you would be able to use prefabricated cats instead of manufacturing them from scratch like Spot is. #cyborgcats
@svpino@frblues66 If an answer is "wrong" and you properly define it as such, then it's good data and most definitely important in machine learning to avoid false positives or "hallucinations" in the context of AI LLMs, which lead to legitimate wrong answers.
@The_AI_Investor AMD used the same playbook before, its Xbox and PlayStation deals nearly wiped out Intel’s market share. It’s already partnered with Meta and is teaming up with OpenAI to push its GPUs and NPUs as serious AI data center contenders isn’t far fetched. Also Jensen & Su are cousins.
