A 58 year old metal factory worker from Hereford checked his EuroMillions ticket, thought he had won £71,000, put his glasses on to double check, and realised it was £71 MILLION. He said the money would change him and he wasn't going to pretend otherwise.

> Ade Goodchild is a 58 year old factory worker from Hereford who had worked at the same metal factory for more than 24 years.

> On Friday March 15 2019 he bought a EuroMillions ticket at the Co-op on Ledbury Road in Hereford.

> The winning numbers were 3, 15, 24, 42 and 46 with Lucky Stars 9 and 12.

> He checked his ticket on Saturday morning.

> It made the winning sound and he thought he had won a fiver.

> Then he thought it said £71,000.

> He put his glasses on to double check and saw that all his numbers were circled and that it was the jackpot.

> He read the prize amount again and realised it was £71 MILLION and that he was the only winner.

> The prize was £71,057,439, which made him the UK's 15th biggest lottery winner at the time.

> The first people he called were his mum and dad. He said they were in complete shock.

> He kept the ticket in his sock drawer until he claimed it.

> The National Lottery announced his win at a press conference at The Abbey Hotel in Malvern on Wednesday March 20 2019.

> He said he was handing in his notice and that there would be no more shift work for him.

> He refused to say the win wouldn't change him. His words: "It bloody well will."

> He wants a new house with a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and staff, including a chauffeur and a personal chef.

> He said he wanted space for his dogs, a spot for his hammock, and someone to take care of the view.

> His plans also include a new car, top sporting events and holidays to the Grand Canyon and the pyramids of Giza.

> He celebrated with a pizza.

> He said he would spend some of the money on his family, who are originally from South Wales.
