Because somebody needs to correct the idiots out there. #uncommonsense#unconventionalwisdom
Woke up in a cold sweat after five years - it seems lockdowns ended, online egos and opinions went airborne. And why is this place called X?
Time to get back to work 👀 #uncommonsense#VeryOnline
@secretlyaninja couldnt agree more. But what are we missing? Those funds held a huge amount of stock by the end.
re. UK equities. Normally I'd say demand a larger margin of safety - but it doesnt work here. Actually increases the risk the board sells you out.
@jodcoll@shirleymush Can you perhaps indicate a couple of specific policies you have in mind? As its really not clear to me what you mean. For example, it seems quite plausible that the opposite of what you suggest could happen ie. pursue a policy the public doesnt want and this creates a backlash
@jodcoll@shirleymush While I support the gist of your point, in the end, life is messy and harsh, and we need to move make moves in the right direction however imperfect (something the tories get and pursue relentlessly).
Its simply not right to equate New Labour and the tories.
@jodcoll@shirleymush no it doesnt. But there is no magic wand that is going to transform the world over night. Progress is painstaking and happens over decades.....as we can see after a decade of the tories
@dan_o_1989 Sorry, as someone who grew up in the early 90s, this is absolute b******s. In-work benefits / tax credits didnt exist until New Labour; the NHS was on its knees in the early 90s; as were schools- my school still had desks with inkwells for god sake, yes ink wells.
