i don’t know if i’m really balancing school work and my personal work anymore. don’t get me wrong, i’m not doing badly at school, but i just think that somewhere along the way, life got more complicated and serious and i have all of these expenses i have to meet…….
Sir, @realFemiOtedola — I’ve wanted to write this for a while.
I’m Goodness Donye, a final-year medical student at the University of Lagos, an aspiring cardiothoracic surgeon, and genuinely a huge admirer of your journey.
I’ve always found the parallels between high-stakes enterprise and complex surgery fascinating: both demand extraordinary discipline, composure under pressure, calculated decisions, and mastery built over decades.
From earning 9 A1s in WASSCE to ranking among the top students in medical school, authoring anatomical literature before completing my MBBS, and pursuing excellence at every stage, I’ve tried to make excellence a standard—not merely a milestone.
As I prepare for global surgical training and the immense responsibility that comes with becoming a surgeon, I’m increasingly interested not only in what successful people achieve, but in how they think, execute, endure pressure, and remain exceptional over time.
That is why I’m reaching out to you.
I would be deeply honoured to learn from your experience, particularly your approach to high-pressure execution, mental stamina, leadership, and operating at the highest level.
Sir, I’m not just asking you to notice this post. I’m hoping, someday, to have the privilege of learning from your playbook.
- from a huge fan & hopefully a mentee to be, Sir.
@realFemiOtedola 🙏🏽❤️
not intentionally, well kind of intentionally, cause i’m working, but i still feel guilty all of the time. but if i don’t work, i don’t get to eat or save up for that apartment i want. i only want to move forward in life. in this moment, i’m praying to God….
