The Chicago Sun-Times published a glowing review of BTS's ARIRANG Tour in Chicago, and also highlighted the special connection j-hope has built with the city over the years.
The writer praised j-hope alongside RM and SUGA as "rhyme slayers," while noting that his reflection on his groundbreaking 2022 Lollapalooza solo debut "drove the feelings home for the local crowd."
"Chicago is one of the places that made me who I am as an artist," he said. "I feel like Chicago has its own folder in my head … and tonight on the ARIRANG Tour with you guys I'm going to save this one in there, too. Thanks for all the memories, you guys mean so much to us."

I've watched this clip so many times and I'm still enthralled by Jin telling Jungkook why he's gathering confettis, and then laughing shyly. Isnt he so adorable??? 🫠🫠🫠
namjoon using pluto’s demotion as a metaphor for falling out of love in 134340, then saying his heart is colder than pluto because it stopped beating the day they left him… who writes like this 😭
This lack of staged choreo this tour has been such a blessing. We are seeing the guys wilding on stage, free to get down & dirty, butt wiggle, skip & twirl, pop & lock & stand there & stare at each other in wonder.
The fancams have been awesome to allow us masses to see it.
TY.
- First he says “I think we got to come back right Chicago?”
- And then again a second time: “We will be coming back”.
- Then he blows a kiss 💋
I’m feeling like the puppy at the shelter that can tell someone likes them and just got very lucky! 😆😆
