Suddenly…
You get the job.
Allah invites you for ʿUmrah.
You get married.
Your debt is paid off.
Your dreams begin to unfold.
Because you read these 5 duas & Allah answered the dua, in sha Allah.
This list is weak. Allow me to expand:
- won’t whisper 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘢’𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘰𝘺 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 every time you breathe.

'Aaj nahi, lekin aik din tum logon ko pata chalei ga that I was on the right side of history. Tareekh sab kuch saamne rakh deti hai.'
I still remember your words, abba.
The amount of psychological torture our family had to go through, especially in the past two years, just to remain on the right side of history, cannot be put into words. From constant threats, to people following us, to them harassing us, to not feeling safe in our own house, to facing bogus FIRs, to trying to add you to the missing persons list. Zameen itni tung kar di thi k wo mulk, jis main apni poori zindagi guzari, sab apne thei, wo chor k jana para. I still remember the nights we could not sleep worrying for you, 'kahin dhoond na lain, kahin pakar na lain' and the night they finally murdered you. Hamare ghar ka wahid sarabarah cheen liya. The realization that you will no longer be with us; ab sar par haath rakhne wala koi nahi ho ga. The price we had to pay just so we could be on the right side of history.
All of this has numbed me to a point where I think I'm incapable of feeling any emotion.
Taking the first step is always difficult, regardless, you took that step. You dared to name those who must not be named. You taught us that we should stand for our rights no matter what the cost. Aap ki jaan to chali gayi lekin ye qoum jaag gayi. Aap ki jaan janei k baad hi sab k saamne haqeeqat khuli. Log bahir nikle. From mass protests to the unprecedented voter turn out, people have finally gained the courage to speak for their rights, to stand up against tyranny. Indeed your sacrifice didn't go in vain. Himmat de gaye sab ko.
People are in despair because of the prevailing circumstances, 'hamare aik vote se kya ho ga, rigging to hui wi hai'. If a vote didn't matter, why have there been relentless attempts to avoid elections for the past two years? Aik hi vote tha jo hazrat Imam Hussain ne Yazid ko nahi diya. Wo aik hi vote tha jiske liye unhon ne apni jaan di, apne khandan ko qurban kar diya sirf is liye k wo aik vote bhi zulm k liye nahi dena chahte thei. Today I exercised the same right to vote; today I recorded my protest against injustice. Today I stood for what my father gave his life for. I'm content that I'm on the right side of history.
Beshak, batil to hai hi mitne k liye. Time will tell what role my father played in Pakistan's revolution. A revolution that is bound to happen. This is just 'the beginning'.

People will come and go in your life. That’s how it is. Don’t worry about it. Don’t try to hang on to those who want to leave. The Almighty will put total strangers in your path to get you where you’re supposed to be. Trust Him.
Purify your heart. Take the spite out of it. Your heart is a small organ. When you fill it with hatred, you’re preventing it from being filled with the love of the Almighty. Always ask Him to protect us from hearts that are consumed with hatred, envy etc.
There are some whose mission in life is to criticise, hate & look for negativity in things. They bring absolutely no value to your life. Quit worrying about them. Don’t let them sidetrack you from your real cause. Let the Almighty deal with them. Focus on your path. The straight path.
Almighty. Grant us good patience in hard times. Let us learn to be grateful by recognizing that our trials could be much worse. Let us trust Your Plan and have complete reliance on You. Help us to remain close to You during both good and bad times. Aameen.
Never feel that the Almighty has abandoned you & you’re alone. He has not. You may be the one crying at night, smiling in the day to hide your pain, feeling lost, confused or frustrated but never doubt that He knows what you’re going through. Always!
