I like to play retro and modern games alike. Spaniard living in the UK for the last 9 years. Expect tweets in bot Spanish and English from this account :)
Open source FPGA implementations of consoles are always controversial but in this case and hearing the people involved, it feels like they are going to deliver the best that can be delivered. An accurate, modern and reengineered AES for 2026 in ASIC form https://t.co/QPaVxCVmIm
@RetroRGB@topapate In the video he explains that they moved away from FPGA due to cost and expected volumes making the ASIC cheaper. He also says he designed a more “true to life” sound hw implementation compared to MiSTer and that having specialised hardware allows for more accurate DAC output
3DO FPGA progress update. Made some changes to the DSP. Fixed the audio in FMV. Interestingly, although the DSP focuses on sound generation, in Blade Force and Decathlon it decodes both the audio and video in the intro FMV. https://t.co/pQzC4JLEUn
3DO FPGA progress update. Added REGIS module for drawing of rotated sprites. Added mathematical calculations in MADAM. Some 3D games are now working. The next step is to add a second drawing module to speed up rendering and correctly display LR sprites. https://t.co/UdGHwnDDvR
The Raizing series of cores just got even more accurate and overhauled completely by atrac17. You won't believe the amount of work that went into this massive update! And its not even everything... more to come!

And that’s just the MiSTer side, it’s awesome with Dreamcast, GameCube and even WiiU over component cable. I’m now also considering buying an HDMI hub and connecting the Switch and PS3 to it and benefit from super sharp 720p to 4K upscaling
I finally decided to go all in with retro gaming and bought a Retrotink 4K CE. Still early days and trying to learn the ins and outs of it but I’m loving the experience. DV1, the super sharp scaling, the next generation scanlines and shadow masks are great! #MiSTerFPGA
For the last two years when I have free time I've been developing the 3DO core. Finally I have some visual result. There is still a lot of work to be done on sprite engine and dsp. So far only a few 2D games (with rectangular sprites) work. https://t.co/cxU1ghtjIY
A couple of months ago I decided to start collecting Dreamcast games and also bought a few mods to modernise it (fan, battery holder, fuse, blue led and usb-c psu, greased gears). Today I finished applying all of them and I am very happy with the results! Happy #Dreamcast25
https://t.co/kzqglaC837 it has been a pleasure to watch this panel from Retro World 2024. I wasn’t aware of the upcoming De25 platform and what it could mean for the Mister project
