Understanding the callousness of the response is key. The political left quite literally apply a subconscious victim / oppressor mindset to everything. Essentially a firmware. This firmware running in the European press corps filtered out 150 opportunities to ask about a massacre. Grieving parents standing right there and received a null output. Didn’t parse. But they had plenty of questions about Israel and America because those inputs have valid oppressor entries in the database.
The German MP telling Iranians they aren’t “ready for democracy” is the colonial paternalism hiding inside the anti-colonial framework. The politically brown victims need to be interpreted and managed by enlightened white leftists who understand their oppression better than they do. The Iranians are just confused about what they actually want.
Same firmware, same architecture. Acknowledging Iranian suffering under the IRI means acknowledging political Islam can be a force of oppression, and that breaks the framework at a foundational level. You can’t hold “politically brown people are oppressed by Western imperialism” AND “the IRI is slaughtering its own politically brown people for wanting secular democracy” simultaneously without your whole worldview cracking.
So the data gets dropped before it reaches anything human. The IRI are politically brown victims. Their minds are made up. And 47 years of European economic entanglement with the regime gives the firmware very good reasons to keep running..

Admitting to the victimization of the Iranian people breaks the victim/oppressor model in their minds. Acknowledging Iranian suffering under the IRI also means acknowledging that political Islam can be a force of oppression and that breaks the framework at a foundational level. You can’t hold “political brown people are oppressed by Western imperialism” AND “the IRI is slaughtering its own political brown people for wanting secular democracy” simultaneously without your whole worldview cracking. The white leftist mind really thinks on these terms, Palestine is an obvious victim because the oppressor is largely politically white. The IRI exploits this mental model to their own advantage, which is why the reaction from politically white leftists is so callous. Their minds are made up. IRI are politically brown victims.

Me too. Boring american. I am following many accounts since november. I know this is necessary. I cry when i read about the executions. I am worried when people stop posting. Iranians are amazing and resilient and i am glad we are stepping up.

Candace is a groyper and groyper ideology is inherently left wing. Same Grievance structures, same victim midset. I suspect the groyper movement factioned off during the leftist’s BLM era. Groypers are politically homeless leftists who latched onto trump when their victim ideology bame to toxic to the modern leftist causes. Candace is either one or latching on to them.
