WOW. Big news.
The Assembly of Treaty Chiefs just dropped a bomb on Danielle Smith.
Treaty 6, 7 & 8. United. Unanimously calling for an RCMP and Auditor General investigation into whether the Premier and her UCP government committed TREASON under Section 46 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The Chiefs met on Treaty 7 territory in Calgary on June 16 and voted as one — pushing a separation referendum that puts Canada’s sovereignty at risk, trampling the Treaty relationship, ignoring privacy violations affecting millions, and opening the door to foreign interference. That’s the case they’re laying out.
And they’re going back to the source. When Treaty was signed, the Northwest Mounted Police — now the RCMP — made a promise: protect First Nations, protect these Territories. The Crown guaranteed peace and goodwill in exchange for sharing this land.
The Chiefs are saying: eff around and find out.

We are thrilled to share that “Love in a Dangerous Time” ー the @CMHR_News exhibition about the LGBT Purge ー has won the Governor General’s award for excellence in museums. Be sure to take in this blockbuster in Winnipeg before it closes this fall. See https://t.co/5Xr8HSAiNB
Congratulations to Martine Roy for receiving the Order of Canada! Martine launched a class action lawsuit against the Government of Canada, resulting in a historic settlement and apology, and ending what is now known as the LGBT Purge. https://t.co/ltmVXoivJ2
Researcher Heather Ganshorn warns that the groups shaping Alberta’s new school policies have a bigger agenda: “They want to take over politics. They want to take over education. They want to reclaim the family—it’s white Christian patriarchal supremacy.” https://t.co/Ec5a6Ew6Ua
Did you know that October is Women’s History Month AND 2SLGBTQI+ History Month in Canada?
Visit the Museum this Saturday and/or Sunday and learn inspiring stories of women and the 2SLGBTQI+ community.
"Let the numbers scream: 77,000 human beings receiving AISH x $200 = $15.4 million every month. That’s $184.8 million per year clawed back from those who can least afford it. And it’s occurring while the Alberta government boasts a colossal, almost obscene $8.3 billion budget surplus in the last fiscal year. They are drowning in our tax dollars, yet they choose to bleed Albertans with disability."

The gap between First Nations and non-First Nations life expectancy in Alberta is 19 years, wider now than any other point on record. This is a provincial and national emergency. #ableg

Read this shocking evidence of a 19 yr difference in life expectancy between First Nations people and other Albertans. Some decision-makers need to get busy NOW!
For nearly 50 years in Canada, being gay made you a threat and could get you fired from the federal public service, military and RCMP.
And then, people pushed back. Visit Love in a Dangerous Time: Canada's LGBT Purge, opening January 31. https://t.co/ugPNJCOaAO
Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. November 20 was chosen to commemorate the November 1998 murder of Rita Hester, a transgender woman from Allston, Massachusetts.
Each year on November 20, we remember the lives lost to anti-trans violence.
The problem here is not the doctors, but politicians who use ideology over evidence to cause harm.
All of these policies will be struck down in the courts. Gender identity is not only real, it is a human right no matter your age. #ableg#abpoli
Today, @JanisIrwin was absolutely on fire with her member statement calling on Premier Danielle Smith to live up to the values she once espoused on protecting trans youth.
Well, worth a listen!

We had some fun and raised some funds at Cavalry FC's Pride Match! Thank you to Cavalry for having us, to our team for selling 50/50 tickets to support the Centre, and to VW Canada for the generous donation! Let's do it again next year 🏳️🌈
Just a few weeks ago, we publicly urged the House of Commons to conduct a study on the rise of anti-2SLGBTQIA+ hate.
Thanks to those across Canada who joined our call to action, the status of women committee has voted to undertake our proposed study.
