Well said, such an important message! Wanting something and not having it is not one of the hardest human experiences and we all need to learn from it and not forget about our desire.
Remember that listening with the intent to understand means you're paying attention not to voice your own thoughts, but to understand someone else's point of view. Being a good communicator is about how well you're able to listen. You will slow down the cycle if you listen more.
