On October 28th, 1656, Edmond Halley was born. Halley was the first to calculate the period of Halley’s Comet and as a result, the comet was named in his honor. Its next appearance in our skies won’t be until 2061. Happy birthday Halley!

This 1941 image depicts the former Ohio Theater at 19 Main St. Originally built as Marble Hall in the 1850s, it was later known as the Riverside Theatorium. The building was razed in late 1941.
