@matt_the_jack @DI93_ Why award a new deal (once VM has assessed him) then sell in the next window? Unless protecting a limited (in the first place) transfer value then why jettison now? Makes no sense to do so? He’s staying. Unless I’m missing something fundamental (please enlighten me if so)?

@CcfcOK1 Cullen has 30+ championship goals including a 10 goal season, Colwill’s championship stats are poor having played a lot of games at that level. Let’s see how he goes this time around.

@scfcthomas It’s nice for once to have a squad that in mid July doesn’t have gaping holes in it. Yes we need midfield recruits, I’d say 3 to replace EG GF and MY and more wing quality and left back cover but not major surgery needed for once.

@NeathJack1 Any deal would undoubtedly have restrictive covenants preventing a further sale or the land to be used for any other reason. The council built the stadium to safeguard the club so wouldn’t make sense to lose that control now. Club want to buy for PSR type reasons presumably.

@scfcthomas Yeah EOM is borderline, his later season form (maybe he hates Welsh weather 🙂) points to giving him another go but neither him or Ronald have really delivered in 2 seasons or more. All about finances and whether Matos thinks he can get more end product from him i guess.

@scfcthomas EOM was far better in H2 of last season but still lacking end product, Inoussa hopefully better in 2nd year, so it’s whether Matos thinks they will come good as we have numbers so need sell Ronald to bring anyone in, which would be a good move assuming the new guy is an upgrade.

@scfcthomas Matos has said he wants to replace Yalcouye and wants to add physicality to the midfield. With two free slots he can, finance permitting. Can change the midfield balance which wasn’t right last season, even with the overall increase in quality that last summer’s spend introduced.

@scfcthomas Need to replace Galbraith and Yalcouye plus cover for Tymon but agreed the squad is pretty much in place. We have 4 wingers so further additions probably dependent on someone (Ronald?) going. Obviously if any other key players leave they will need replacing too.

@pavyg @Wimbledon Why don’t they just close the roof before the final game rather than cause disruption to the two players and potentially change the outcome of the match? I bet most players would not want a break of that long.

@trystanbending Leicester may want £15m but no one in their right mind is paying anywhere near that for him, especially given that he’s probably on premier league wages. Not an accurate barometer I’d say.

@PaulAbbandonato @FAWales I want continuity but he has alienated a lot with Burnley plus the furore re his subs v B&H. It’s not all his fault, the defence went missing for the B&H goal and we’d still have had Italy to face so it’s not as if he himself directly cost us a World Cup spot.
