Under Roman Abramovich
• Michael Ballack moved from Bayern Munich to Chelsea
• Fernando Torres moved from Liverpool to Chelsea
• Andrily Shevchenko moved from AC Milan to Chelsea
• Claude Makelele moved from Real Madrid to Chelsea
• Ashley Cole moved from Arsenal to Chelsea.
These where all big players and very important for their clubs before making a move to Chelsea.
These are the kind of moves we won't see in These new owners(BlueCo), big player moves from one big club to Chelsea. This deals won't happen because of wage structure.
Doesn’t really matter if he wanted to stay or not, were those contract negotiations hosted in good faith? Probably not.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, the ownership wanted him out because he called them out and they were embarrassed.
Y’all want to change the wage structure now?
Never!!
Good thing he still has 6 or 7 years left in his current contract. So he’s going no where.
If he doesn’t want to be loyal to Chelsea then he can go elsewhere. We only want players who are happy to be here.
Some Chelsea fans joined rival fans and the media in calling Enzo Fernández an “average, overrated player” when he was at Chelsea. Now that he has left, they’re surprised that those same rivals and media outlets are calling him one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
Notice how the briefs changed now?
First it was that Chelsea had a gentlemen's agreement with Cucu in 2025 that he'll leave in 2026 for family matters.
I called it BS because if that were true, the board would have made it known to the fans beforehand so we could give him a proper farewell. But they didn't. Because it never happened
It's actually the two people who called out the board that they got rid of and now they are briefing it as "ties with Maresca" because of course they can't say "they called us out so they are out"
PS: before you hardcore morons come at me saying enzo didn't call out anyone he just wanted to leave- No. He also said in an interview that he sometimes doesn't understand club decisions about managers getting sacked and stuff. The PSG defeat came long after this interview.
Start thinking critically. The club we love is run by people we should be hating.
Enzo Fernández at Chelsea: “Average. Overrated. Not good enough.”
And some Chelsea fans believed it all. 😂
The moment Enzo leaves Chelsea:
Same media: “One of the best midfielders in the Premier League.”
But somehow Chelsea fans still won’t see the pattern. 😭
I really don't care who goes and who stays anymore.
This is the reality Chelsea fans need to come to terms with. Expect more sales in the future, so brace up, the club is breeding more "snakes".
The club can comfortably come out to list their favourite players but when a player is not satisfied he can't speak at all else he would be called a snake🤣🤣
JT has always been outspoken about standards. The first words Enzo said after joining City were praise for how well-run they are. We haven't competed for a title in a decade. We've failed to secure UCL football in 3 out of the last 4 campaigns.
Jesus, listen to this lot 😂
We’ve had three whole seasons of your squad building. We have a big enough sample size now to make an educated assessment that they have absolutely no idea how to build an elite level squad.
What’s wild is that such successful businessmen have given them the opportunity to do it all over again.
They’ve literally had to rebuild a multi billion pound rebuild.
Four years in, billions spent, and we’re still talking about glaring holes in the squad, lack of leaders on the pitch, inadequate depth and players who aren’t good enough. It’s extraordinary.
I’m genuinely not sure there has ever been this level of incompetence showcased across an elite sporting organisation over such a sustained period of time.
These clowns aren’t football people.
BlueCo have had all summer to sort an Enzo Fernandez replacement just to be briefing shit like this on deadline day.
You had better find a replacement or the entire perception of the window is changing
BlueCo never changed.
No matter how you guys try to protect and support BlueCo strategy in the just concluded transfer window… It is very glaring that BlueCo never changed and will go for the bag, even if it means strengthening a major rival…!
Dear CFC fans, let it be known that the big accounts are used to push narratives and gather cheap support for the management…! They don’t really care about the fans..!
Messi posted “GOAT debate settled” and Ronaldo fans have been shouting names like ‘arrogant, cocky, fake humility’ all over yet not a single one of them has gathered the courage to call him a liar😂 I wonder why.
Enzo Fernández signed an 8½-year contract with Chelsea in January 2023, later extended by an option to 2032.
He was earning £180,000 per week (~£9.4m a year), plus performance-related bonuses.
When he left, he still had six years remaining on his Chelsea deal.
Now at Manchester City, Enzo has signed a shorter 5-year contract running until 30 June 2031 but on significantly higher wages.
He’ll earn £350,000 per week (~£18m a year), with part of the package tied to performance bonuses.
Two times the pay he earned at Chelsea and a move to a more ambitious club.
Proper Chels, my toes.
