We’ve had three whole seasons of your squad building. We have a big enough sample size now to make an educated assessment that they have absolutely no idea how to build an elite level squad.

What’s wild is that such successful businessmen have given them the opportunity to do it all over again.

Enzo Fernández signed an 8½-year contract with Chelsea in January 2023, later extended by an option to 2032.

He was earning £180,000 per week (~£9.4m a year), plus performance-related bonuses.

When he left, he still had six years remaining on his Chelsea deal.

Now at Manchester City, Enzo has signed a shorter 5-year contract running until 30 June 2031 but on significantly higher wages.

He’ll earn £350,000 per week (~£18m a year), with part of the package tied to performance bonuses.

Two times the pay he earned at Chelsea and a move to a more ambitious club.
