Terrible.
"By the time the U.S. began attacking Iran, Central Command, which said it needed a minimum of nine of its 16 [civilian protection] staffers to function, was left with one person...A U.S. airstrike hit a school, killing more than 100 children."

“What Trump is doing is he's instituting a worldwide trade extortion scheme. The tariffs are not about any particular outcome. They're about going to each country and saying, ‘Hey, nice country you got there. Would be a shame if something happened to it.’ And what he's seeking from each of these countries is submission. He wants them to submit their economic Independence and sovereignty to him.”
“And of course, the effect that that has in those countries is the opposite of what he wants. It puts the incentive to all of the politicians in Canada to oppose him, because if they do submit, they'd be thrown out of office right away. So what he's done is he's ensured the failure of his own policy and in doing so, ensured that the retaliation will come.”
“Now, while it's true that Canada will suffer more than the Americans, it's also true that the Canadians are so pissed off at us right now - 80% of Canadians are against the United States, for the first time in living memory - that they're willing to suffer more for the point of maintaining their sovereignty and standing up to Trump. And that's not the case in Michigan. That's not the case in Maine. People in America are not a fan of these trade wars. They’re not on board with Trump’s strategy.”
“So there will be political consequences, not for Trump, because he is not running, but for Republicans. But it's pretty clear that Trump doesn't care about that.”

Trump's Treasury Boss Tried to Rig Bond Prices to Save the 2026 Midterms — Gets Publicly Destroyed by His Own Wall Street Mentor
Legendary hedge fund manager Stanley Druckenmiller just curb-stomped his former protégé, Scott Bessent.
Bessent's sudden decision to double long-dated Treasury buybacks after 30-year yields hit a 19-year high wasn't "liquidity support." It was naked price management. The market was functioning fine — no crisis, no dysfunction — just the bond market finally pricing in $40 trillion in debt and a 6% deficit at full employment. Instead of listening, Bessent tried to muzzle it.
Druckenmiller didn't miss the political angle either. The enlarged buybacks "happen to run through the final stretch of a midterm campaign." Debt management that even appears to follow the political calendar, he warned, burns the one asset Treasury spent two centuries building: credibility.
That's why the rigging matters. Every basis point of artificial yield suppression is a subsidy to fiscal procrastination. It lets politicians paper over the real problem — exploding deficits and interest costs already bigger than the defense budget — while pretending the market is wrong. Governments that fight fundamentals always lose. The only question is how much they waste before they concede.
Mentor just took the student to the woodshed in the Journal. Brutal. Correct. And perfectly timed to expose Trump's game.
@RepJeffries If you want to talk about affordability talk to senators and congressmen, not to private citizens. Trump played you nicely, your career over
@RepJeffries@joncoopertweets Kushner is not a part of Trump administration. You had no right to negotiate with him. You’re just stupid. Trump set you up, you’re compromised and tarnished. The only future for you is to resign
Last week, Scott Bessent implemented the same playbook on the USD that the yen did before it's collapse. He knows this, because he made $3.5B off the Yen collapse. The dollar is down 8.8%.
-----
Scott Bessent, a Soros protege, made $3.5 billion betting against Japan when their government bought its own bonds to suppress long-term interest rates.
The yen lost 50% of its value and the Wall Street Journal called him "The Man Who Broke the Bank of Japan."
Last week, his Treasury Department doubled its bond buyback program. Same mechanism as Japan. Buy your own long-term bonds --> push yields down.
The dollar index is at 99 and gold just hit an all-time high of $5,595.
The Brookings Institution warns that he is "playing with fire" and risks "a devaluation spiral like the yen." But, he knows exactly what this does. He made $3.5 billion because he knew what this does.
So, the man who spent 40 years profiting from currency collapses is now running the same playbook on the dollar. Nothing to see here....
Trump is buying toxic beef from Argentina to prop up an Israeli vassal state in South America, while putting American cattle ranchers out of business.
Chalk up another win for MAGA!! 🇺🇸
It’s written in plain text: Project 2025 called for the killing of wild horses to make money off our public lands. Now, they’re doing it.
Protecting animal welfare shouldn’t be partisan.
This pretty accurate sums up the reason Trump endorsed her. She doesn't know anything so her job will be to just support Trump and do what he says. https://t.co/Ae1dm8p5C6
