@MountainBrujo@notgaetti Babe Ruth pitched and played outfield to get his bat in the line up the days he wasn't pitching for 2 years. Ohtani just pitches 6 innings a week and hits. So really you can't compare the two
@UncleDemi@SleeperMLB@SleeperDodgers@SleeperYankees@SleeperSFGiants We'll 1910 was before Ruth's time but anyways lol baseball is baseball. Ruth was also playing the outfield to get his bat in the line up the days he wasn't pitching. They made a rule for Ohtani to get his bat in the line up.
@TimKuhn1440@BenVerlander They didn't have a DH when Ruth played so the days he wasn't pitching he was in the outfield to get his bat in the line up he did that for 2 years and it became too tiring for him. I don't see Ohtani doing that.
@DetroitTankCity@nut_history What are you talking about to difficult? lol there wasn't a DH back in those days so he would pitch one day and play in the field the next day cause he had too if not his bat wouldn't be in the line up.
@GeorgeHoldcroft@nut_history That doesn't mean anything he played 7 games in the outfield all together a total of 8 innings doesn't have any numbers to show for. Ruth did something Ohanti never did and never will do 924inn played in the field with 133 inn pitched in a year.
@GeorgeHoldcroft@nut_history Ruth also played 924 innings in the outfield in 1919. How many innings did Ohanti play in the field? They didn't have a DH back in those days Ruth. Ruth just got tired of doing that in 1918 and 1919 . They made the Ohtani rule lol
