Apologise. Say we've a problem. Own it. Be angry. As I said in pod, if this ignorance and omerta is what represents a community, then the community is sick and rotten.

You want the same rights but never the same rules. People have enough.

I'll say it again as enough is enough.

When you hear the updates on that family who were hit by these criminal thugs, and then hear the reaction not just of random travellers but @PaveePoint... Enough is enough.

If you can't behave in any normal way, don't expect to be treated as such.

Those lads actions were not some outlier around a sick and leeching part of society. It was representative of it.

The aftermath has shown that too.

The crass arrogance. The lack of sorrow for real victims. The defensiveness.

Funding needs to go, special treatment needs to go, sympathy needs to go.

They won't bully and whinge and fight their way out of this one. They are thugs.

@fergulike @PaveePoint Go on. Tell me what I'm clueless about. Members of their community tried to murder a family, yesterday in my town to celebrate those scumbags they needed to lock the place down with 100 Gardai, and these lads reaction is hate speech? Educate me. Go on.

@corkyback Grim isn't it. But a celebration of murderers that involves closing off my town for a day, turning the local sporting club into a command centre, and paying nearly a hundred Gardai so a funeral involves only a mild smashing up of the place, is totally legal. @gardainfo
