@WilliamMcNall18@SteveStuWill They do not use the definition of diversity from the literature. "An individual can be categorized as ‘diverse’ if they are assigned to, or self-identify as a member of, a minority." By this logic, I can "self-identify" as a minority and my research would then be "diverse."
@CarlosEAlvare17@SteveStuWill No one has ever considered that "diversity." Not the cited papers. Not the broader literature. Not DEI programs. That is called homogeneity.
Higher IQ is correlated with success, but that is often confounded by incentives at school or work (intelligent people might also be working harder).
New research suggests high-IQ people are successful also when incentives don’t matter, writes @ewdolan:

Anyone can check the study themselves. Only 3.1% of the sample prioritized social equity over truth. The majority prioritized truth. But it was a slim majority... 40.5% said "it's complicated."
This is really sad:
When psychology professors are asked whether they'd put the truth before social equity concerns, 66.4% of male professors said yes, but fewer than half of female professors (43%) agreed.
In both groups, too many put equity before truth.
@MackenMurphy Social justice advocates have known this and openly endorsed it as a tactic since at least the 60s. (The strategy of presenting the "Sunday Best", focusing on Rosa Parks instead of Claudette Colvin, etc.)
Do women really multitask better than men? Researchers put both sexes through a rigorous real-world simulation. While they scored the same on most metrics, one difference emerged that explains why men often look like they are struggling. https://t.co/eKAizzSKCd
Does making a behavior illegal actually make it immoral? According to new research, yes. Simply labeling an action as illegal makes people judge it as more morally wrong even if the law was broken accidentally. https://t.co/lIKmMWl3Fj

@wokal_distance A small group of men have successfully monopolized the wealth and opportunity, leaving the rest of the male population destitute and unfuckable. An old tale.
@GreenPlusAnE This is just wrong. Old Spaghetti Factory is clearly a right-wing institution and far more powerful than the entire village of Hewlett Neck
